Women's Connection Summit for cis and trans women reentering community post-correctional facility.
PrEP and HIV (prevention, treatment, and U=U) education was given -- 1 in 5 new HIV acquisitions is a woman, predominantly Black/African American or Latina/Latine. Dialog is key!

Project WISH went to Advocacy Day 2023 (#AD2023) in Springfield, IL to advocate for funding for HIV infrastructure, housing, access to healthcare, for health insurance affordability, clinician cultural competency, overdose prevention sites, and gender-inclusive restrooms!

While the White House is talking up their work on trans rights and those of the LGBTQIA+ community, this country is experiencing unprecedented state-level efforts (430 bills) targeting trans and other LGBTQIA+ community members. Allies: speak up!

Terrific tour of Howard Brown's Broadway Youth Center, which focuses on improving the lives of LGBTQIA+ kids (12-24) with housing, food, clothing, exercise, medical/mental care, employment training, and other wrap-around services. Looking forward to future collaborations!

This Saturday, we spent time with our great friends at Trans Chicago Empowerment Center in Humboldt Park. The Pillars event brings community together. We celebrated community and supported our trans and nonbinary vendors and artists.
