The last Be-ready event took place on June 27th, 2022, in Santander, Spain, and was a real success!!
Look at our website to better know this successful event.
The Project aims to create an ICT tool to prevent or react to maritime oil and NHS spills.
It has 4 sectors:
1. Project management
2. Dissemination and capitalization plan
3. Model development and validation 👩💻
4. Be-Ready Decision Support System 🖥️
When will Be-Ready project be finalized?
🗓️ September 2021 ➡️ March 2022: definition of the methodologies and implementation of the models in the pilot sites
🗓️ April 2022 ➡️ August 2022: design, development and implementation of the Be-Ready Decision Support System and training

We intend to extend the operational model in order to cover a wider range of HNS substances. Particular attention will be devoted to the exportability of the model in different geographical regions.
The oil and HNS fate models that the project proposes will take into account the main weathering processes that substances encounter during their transport. The approach adopted is updated to the current trends, it will generate undeniable long-term impacts in disaster management
The primary expected results of BE-READY project will be the implementation of a reliable and complete Environmental DSS tool which effectively helps the final end-users in the response to marine pollution events.
BE-READY project aims to implement an Environmental Decision Support System (EDSS), easily exportable to different geographical contexts, which models the most common sources of pollutions, regarding either oil or HNS spill.
