The Donkorkrom #ReDIAL multi-stakeholder platform visited the Department of Agriculture demonstration farm at Amankwa Tornu to witness how cow dung has been used as manure to cultivate maize.
The Sefwi Wiawso Department of Agriculture sensitized #ReDIAL MSD platform members on alternative livelihood strategies available under the Rearing for Food and Jobs ( RFJ) module.
Some rice farmers shared lessons on best practices that have improved their yield and income.
The stakeholders lament that the lack of scales/weights/measures and standard pricing (in the trade of food crops e.g. maize) is the number one issue plaguing farmers in the municipality.
