Dedicated to exposing troubling wildlife trades on social media.
Our goal is to document & reveal the scale of the trade on these platforms & demand change.

Very encouraging to see the trade in Africa's birds getting more attention in the media. It's vital that awareness is raised about the scale of what's going on and the devastating impact its having. #parrots#AfricanGreys@ParrotTrust@UWEC_EntebbeZoo

Wow get this...@Yelp created 'Yelp Elite,' and guess what elite reviewers have been doing with their "trusted" status? Selling fake reviews to the highest bidder in order to dupe customers. @CounteringCrime's Fake Review Watch is onto them. Read more:

WATCH: Rubble and ashes are almost all that remain of the houses people had built in the village of Bin in central Myanmar, one of more than 100 villages partially or completely burned by Myanmar's military since the start of this year https://t.co/Ey6Xknciet
@AnimalsCount@Facebook@Meta@WhatsApp We've found explicit posts where traders indicate prices, openly haggle with buyers, show videos of themselves dismbembering live animals...and much more.
NGOs and passionate individuals shouldn't be the ones stepping up to police out of control multi-billion dollar platforms.
@AnimalsCount@Facebook@Meta@WhatsApp It's vital that @Meta finally take wildlife criminality on its platforms seriously. If they can develop algorithms to tag your blurred face at the back of a birthday party you attended 6 years ago, they should be capable of screening their own platforms for sales of wildlife.
Wildlife trader using @Facebook and @WhatsApp to coordinate international trade of @CITES species
Trader HS has advertised a whole host of live animals through @Meta platforms, including African spurred tortoises, cobras, uromastyx, scorpions and terrified looking Fennec foxes.
The list of women leaders killed in Somalia is long. The latest is Amina Mohamed Abdi, an outspoken member of parliament who dared challenge the elite. Her death may be linked to the biggest political scandal in the country, writes @HussienM12 https://t.co/4AHlcK6fNn
