Summer in @DWNTWN_ORLANDO is sure to bring two things: heat and rain. According to Don Carpenter, who specializes in environmental and water resources, planting Florida-friendly landscapes throughout the @citybeautiful can help with both!

A greener, more vibrant downtown Orlando is on its way! DTO dog walkers, pedestrians, and cyclists will soon enjoy bench seating, a bike rack, and a bike repair station—new additions to the recent landscaping installed at the “Solidarity” sculpture adjacent to I-4.
A thriving downtown means clean, green, comfortable streets and sidewalks for everyone to enjoy. Project DTO's long-term goals include larger, safer sidewalks, more green spaces, increased shade trees, and well-lit corridors. To learn more, visit https://t.co/tExDFTPaTY.
It's been 7 years since the #Pulse tragedy and the City of Orlando continues to feel the effects of that day. Today we're remembering the lives that were lost as we work to build a DTO where every individual feels safe, valued, and embraced.

🇺🇸 Honoring the brave, remembering the sacrifice.
On this #MemorialDay, we pay tribute to those who selflessly served our nation. Let us never forget their unwavering dedication and honor their memory with gratitude.
🚲 The final few miles of the Downtown Loop are currently being designed and will add a mix of separated bike lanes and wide sidewalks along portions of Washington Street, Magnolia Avenue, Pine Street, Eola Drive, and Summerlin Avenue.
