Parece ser que la comunidad modding de Grand Theft Auto está en pánico por los recientes acontecimientos ocurridos con los mods Liberty City Preservation Project y Vice City: Nextgen Edition.

En este caso, la gente de Porkdog Productions, creadores del mod Stars & Stripes, cuyo propósito era recrear el mapa de Estados Unidos en GTA San Andreas, han decidido parar el desarrollo.

La razón detrás de esta decisión es el miedo a las represalias que Take Two, la empresa detrás de la franquicia, pueda imponerles tal y como han comentado en su discord.

Uno de los desarrolladores del mod, uriel_sanchez17, ha explicado como se vivió la situación de forma interna en el discord SA: Community, y a su vez dando a entender que la decisión que se tomó no le gustó a la mayoría del equipo y que es posible que sea continuado el mod en el futuro.

Es una pena que los modders que tanto cariño le tienen a los videojuegos de Rockstar Games tengan que vivir con el miedo de que Take Two les mande una reclamación de derechos de autor por el simple hecho de mejorar y mantener vivos los juegos que tan grandes le han hecho.
