I hope we each take time to figure out whether we want liberation or just a portion of empire's spoils. I hope we're honest--about ourselves & others, with ourselves & others--once we know.

Psychiatric survivors do not need a “clinical assessment” of our experiences. We don’t need psychiatrists to approve of our memoirs. Instead of learning you revert to the only thing you know: diagnosing. This writing is horrific & a grand example of epistemic violence in action.

If your state is not on the list of those trying to dismantle #Section504 you can still contact your Attorney General & urge them to file an amicus brief in support of Section 504.

My guy doesnt have email but I’ll be calling & sending a 🐌 mail to all his offices #Protect504 ♿️

✨ URGENT ASK: I need to speak with a legal advocate, lawyer, and/or mental health worker who is in New York and/or has knowledge of inpatient psychiatry at Bellevue Hospital urgently. Please share this is TIME-SENSITIVE.

12. Black. Men. Self. Immolated. In. Prison. And there is no media reporting on it.

"Kevin Rashid Johnson reports that Econ and his cellmate Trayvon Brown set themselves on fire hoping to escape the intolerable racism, abuse, and inhumane conditions they were subjected to."

We finally have a bluesky account! Follow us on there: @/projectlets🌻We have mostly been using IG, but want to broaden our options ✌️

What are folks using to migrate away from this cesspool?

When disabled people tell you that we’re in danger - believe us.

This is eugenics. It needs to stop. Patients are being coerced into medically assisted death & it’s happening far more to those who are poor, marginalized, alone etc.

This is ghastly.

Sudan deserves more than your occasional retweet, the every so often “and Sudan” when you talk about liberation. Sudan deserves more than your silence, your negligence. Sudanese people have been suffering constantly for over 500 days, they deserve your outrage and support.

Sudan deserves more. Sudanese people deserve more. Black deaths are not worth any less than any other death, Black suffering is not just “the norm”.

[New Disabled South @DisabledSouth]

We have distributed $180,000 worth of $150 and $300 payments to more than 600 people impacted by hurricanes Helene and Milton. We still have around $200,000 in requests from 700 more people.

[New Disabled South @DisabledSouth]

We've created a comprehensive resource guide for those who may need assistance following the recent environmental disasters across the South. This guide is accessible in both English and Spanish. Check it out here: https://t.co/UbzurT5uUi

“…kept waiting, kept waiting…”

Feel that in your bones.

[Wren @jaunty_aphorism]

"Self-harm is not a psychiatric diagnosis.." Lol yeah maybe not in theory. However, for most of us who self-harm, we know that in practice, self-harm is synonymous with BPD. You don't need to meet *one single other diagnostic criteria* & they'll slap that label on you for life 👍

[Wren @jaunty_aphorism]

For #WorldMentalHealthDay I'm resharing my study on genital & breast self-harm. Recycling the same sanitised "be kind" platitudes yr after yr is pointless. We need real conversations about the reality of what it is to live with mental illness and trauma.
