3) Instruments: Come forward with a reconciliation, “do no harm” and dialogue policy.
Today we are happy to publish our final recommendations, aimed at the new @Europarl_en, @EU_Commission and High Representative. After three years of extensive research, we propose that the #EU should become a more reflexive actor in the #Mediterranean
https://t.co/H3xRzXVZIi
To take this direction, the #EU should take the following steps:
1) Begin to have periodic screening reports of #EU policies and the possible harmful effects they have + set up a study commission to reflect on a new development model for the whole #Mediterranean, #EU included.
The #EU political framework reflects a strong commitment to promoting #gender equality. On the contrary, our paper shows why the #EU is falling short from adopting an approach that would lead women to realize their “power within” to claim their #rights.

2. While expanding and implementing a #HumanRights agenda, the #EU should not impose a political or economic model on states such as #Tunisia, but rather acknowledge the agency of local actors in devising this by themselves
On #HumanRights 1. the #EU should expand its #HumanRights agenda and actually implement it, including also issues such as #SocialJustice. By ignoring regression in human rights the #EU will continue to
reinforce #authoritarianism
