Some people who are willing to acknowledge that Jose Menendez was abusive and deserved what he got like to also say Kitty was an innocent victim and Erik and Lyle should be in prison for what they did to her.

Kitty Menendez was not an innocent victim. On top of being aware of the violent sexual abuse her sons were experiencing at the hands of her husband and doing NOTHING to stop it, she herself was physically, emotionally, and verbally abusive to both boys and even sexually assaulted Lyle herself.

Kitty was not an innocent victim. The boys saw her as the same level of threat as they viewed their father and they had good reason to. Stop trying to advocate for a woman who couldn’t even advocate for her own sons. Whose own sister refuses to advocate for her because of what she did to her kids.
