@evrydyshlloween Probably the platonic ideal of a “Friedkin disappointment.” Which is to say, that it’s very watchable, but doesn’t amount to much. Great car chases, tho. Probably won’t ever watch it again. But glad I caught up with it.
Happy Holidays! We’ve been a little silent but never take Christmas off, so here’s a brand new episode on Dial Code Santa Claus from 1989. 2023 will feature a full slate of all new episodes! See y’all soon!

Last night I spun the new 4K disc of OUT OF ORDER (1984) recently put out by Subkuktur Films with @ocndistro
Amazing visual presentation and a genuinely tense chamber piece that really picks up in the final 20 mins or so. Highly recommended!
Watched the new disc put out by @ArrowFilmsVideo last night, and this flick lived up to its reputation. Thank god it wasn’t Christmastime or I would have found an empty wrapping paper roll and ran around the house.
#NowWatching: 1989's GIRLFRIEND FROM HELL, directed by Daniel M. Peterson and starring Dana Ashbrook and Liane Curtis. A young high school girl is possessed by the Devil in order to steal souls.
