Today marks 41 years since the Karamchedu Massacre of 17 July 1985.
On this day in 1985, Kamma landlords launched a brutal, premeditated attack on Scheduled Caste Madiga families in Karamchedu, Andhra Pradesh.

Six Madigas were killed, at least three Madiga women were raped, many more were grievously injured, and the Madigapalle was ravaged through arson and looting.

Despite the scale of the caste violence, the legal system ultimately failed to deliver full justice to the victims and their families.

This remains a stark reminder of how caste dominance and institutional shortcomings continue to deny accountability for atrocities against Madiga and other untouchable communities.

Karamchedu is not just history, it underscores the ongoing struggle for dignity, protection under the SC/ST (PoA) Act, and genuine justice.
Let the memory fuel our resolve against caste oppression.

I don’t know whether the world is truly aware or is deliberately turning a blind eye to what is happening right now in Gaza.

But this is exactly how they are planning the so called “New Gaza” they keep talking about.
