Another successful ProZERO™ pour completed yesterday on a major data center project!
We’re proud to see our low-carbon blended-cement performing beautifully in the field - delivering high-quality, durable concrete while significantly reducing the carbon footprint of this critical infrastructure project.
Huge thanks to the entire crew and our partners for the excellent execution. Many of our Prometheus Materials team members were on-site for the pour. Moments like these remind us why we do what we do.
Real progress, real projects, real results.

ProZERO™ is efficient down to the molecule - and there’s a member of our team uniquely equipped for that level of molecular analysis and the rigor required to get there: John R. Hottle, Ph.D.
John’s commitment to excellence and creativity in driving thoughtful new possibilities make him the perfect person to lead the team and drive innovation in his new role as Director of Technology.
Congratulations on the promotion, John.
Over the past three years, John has played a key role in advancing the science and development behind ProZERO™, including interfacing with ASTM to help ensure our product is not only sustainable, but also compliant. In his expanded role, he’ll continue to lead the charge as we improve the sustainability and performance of our carbon-reducing technologies.
Announcing our new strategic partnership with Green Stream Algae
Green Stream Algae has become a strategic partner and investor in Prometheus Materials, aligning our missions and marking a major milestone in enabling the delivery of low-carbon and carbon-negative cement at commercial scale.
Through this 10+ year partnership, Green Stream Algae will serve as the exclusive supplier of microalgae and biomineral to Prometheus Materials across North and South America.
What this means for Prometheus Materials:
We’ve secured long-term supply certainty for microalgae and biomineral, two core inputs to our carbon negative, ProZERO™ technology.
What this means for the industry:
The growing demand for low-carbon and carbon-negative cement can be confidently scaled toward more sustainable construction (without disrupting existing operations or supply chains).

🚛 16 tons of ProZERO™ shipped today - heading to the East Coast!
This latest shipment will support another major project to achieve low carbon concrete with no changes to operations. Because of our concentrated carbon reducer ProZERO™️, this project is going to meet their carbon reduction goals.
This might spark debate. It does at ASTM.... Why not just use more fly ash?
It works - but it has limits.
1. Supply varies
2. Higher replacement levels
3. Finishability can suffer
ProZERO™ is a concentrated solution → Keep the cement. Lose the carbon.
How much ProZERO™ goes into a mix?
Most ready-mix producers use 10–40% replacement, based on carbon reduction targets.
We work directly with suppliers to determine the right level.
Practical.
Measurable.
Field-ready.
We’ve officially become a sales organization.
Over the past year, we’ve proven that low- and carbon-negative concrete can actually work in the real world — across multiple pours, partners, and applications.
Now, demand is catching up.
To meet it, we’ve brought on two new team members to help scale how we go to market:
Welcome to the team 👇
– David Mesko (Colorado & Wyoming): 25+ years in concrete and commercial construction, with deep experience in ready-mix and precast, managing multimillion-dollar accounts and closing complex, high-value deals.
– David Hermida (Arizona, New Mexico & West Texas): 10+ years in bulk cement sales, including supplying the largest wind farm in the Western Hemisphere and managing 400,000+ tons annually.
We’re excited to deliver reduction in GWP by implementing our concentrated carbon reducer, ProZERO™️, into more mix designs.
Most low-carbon strategies require replacing a lot of cement. ProZERO™ doesn’t.
Even at low replacement levels: ✅5% ProZERO™ can achieve similar GWP reduction to ~25% fly ash
That means:
1. Less replacement
2. Better performance
3. A more efficient way to reduce carbon.
One of the biggest risks with low-carbon concrete? Finishability.
If it doesn’t finish right → the job fails.
ProZERO™️is designed to behave like conventional mixes, and ProZERO™️finishability is superior to Type 1L. That’s why crews trust it in real pours.
Kicking off our FAQ series....
One of the biggest concerns we hear: Will this disrupt our operation? 🚫No.
ProZERO™️integrates like other cement replacements (slag, fly ash, etc.) and works within existing batching and handling systems.
No new process.
No new equipment.
Just lower carbon concrete.
