@Benny_Hinn We all stumble, but to what degree? The longer we profess Jesus, the stronger we become.
If we continue to grow in grace and the knowledge of the Lord (2 Pet. 3:18), we'll reach a stage where our battles will be restricted to our mind.
And temptations aren't stumbling.
@JohnBevere It's true He doesn't test us with evil, but does He test us with obedience? I beg to differ. Why?
God has given us everything to serve Him in spirit and in truth.
If we obey, we'll get what He predestined for us.
If we disobey, we'll eat a bunch of consequences and 1/2
@PastorJohnHagee If we are "in Christ", we aren't to have "opinions", only truth.
Opinions don't help or heal or give hope only truth.
Opinions are responsible for few of us in the body of Christ snagging the deep things of God. They only come by growing in grace and the knowledge of the Lord.
@Daystar While everything said in the tweet is true, if we have been serving Jesus two or more decades and we're still messing up, we're estranged from Him.
We don't get weaker in Christ, only stronger.
Think of this: We kicked the Devil out of our lives as a just-born babe in Christ.
@STRtweets That supposition is not quite right because for disciples of Jesus in deed (John 8:31), a standard exists even if we don't adhere to it.
The standard is called the word of God, and specifically, the New Testament for the body of Christ.
If we don't live by this standard, we 1/2
@KindKerfuffler@RFupdates I knew it. It never ends well when I walk in the love of God with people behind an avatar.
May God bless your soul in Jesus' name. Amen.
@KindKerfuffler@RFupdates Respectfully, here's what you said, "He still created the possibility for suffering."
In response, I said, "He didn't because . . ."
In other words, I said, He didn't create "the possibility for suffering."
You'll have to decide for yourself if we contradicted each other.
@KindKerfuffler@RFupdates As a child, the old folks told us: "Hard ears you wouldn't hear, own way, you'll feel."
Suffering is what we're feeling today, but if we return to God through Jesus, He'll not only lessen the suffering we could experience, but also redeem it by and for His glory. 2/3
@AiG While all of that's true, how about our actions, deeds, and behaviors, shouldn't we also model God in these areas? After all, arenโt we His hands, feet, eyes, etc?
I say, yes, yes, because faith without works is dead (James 2:20).
Dead faith means no eternal life abiding in us.
@RFupdates On the other hand, if we become obedient and trust God, weโll begin to see things as God sees them.
And we wouldnโt ask, "Why didn't He make a world without suffering?" because he did, and will do it again, but in His time, not ours (Rev. 21:1-5; 22:1-3. 4/4
@RFupdates Guess what, God will not alter His timeline to do away with suffering. Each of us has to come to an understanding that evil doing causes suffering, and God is not an evildoer.
If we don't surrender and believe God, we'll always be miserable in this life. 3/4
@RFupdates He does for two main reasons.
1. He didn't created it and man must taste the consequences of his rebellion.
2. Before the world began, God had decided when He will bring evil and evildoers to an end.
When evil and evildoers end, suffering will also end.
