@ILoveWomen255 don’t forget it’s also egg’s crown! and he failed even harder 🥲 I find it interesting that the bearers of that crown were powerless children in times of war/conflict and ended up being the most fond and compassionate towards the common folk. many parallels to dany imo 😊
@LakshathilOraal yup - prince(ss) titles are conferred onto siblings, children and male-line grandchildren of the monarch (with exceptions for direct heirs & their lines in the case of rhaenyra’s and viserys II’s kids), daeron Il was born during his great uncle's reign so he was just lord daeron
@LakshathilOraal@queengrowlithe they also married outside to other families so maybe that’s why? i do agree it’s a bit more dubious than how I first stated it, but at some point after their brother’s coronation (and before viserys’ return), they were acknowledge as his heirs & should’ve been titled accordingly
@LakshathilOraal@queengrowlithe in twoiaf they’re referred to as princesses during the maiden’s ball section of aegon iii’s chapter - “princesses Rhaena and Baela presented her to the king” - it might just be a minor plot hole in F&B but they should be princesses since asoiaf follows english succession laws
