Warriors at Timberwolves: Food for Thought 💭

Ant out for 2 months and the Timberwolves are still favored against GSW at -170... so either the books think the Warriors are THAT bad or they think LaMelo can carry this team by himself.

Minnesota was sitting around -6.5 before the news dropped and it only moved to like -3.5. That’s not a full adjustment for losing a guy who just dropped 47 and was averaging 33 a night.

LaMelo’s been solid in the limited minutes so far but he hasn’t exactly been a primary option yet, and the rest of that Wolves group is still figuring out who takes the shots when Ant isn’t there. Meanwhile Golden State just had a big win in Denver and Steph can still go off any night.

I get that the Wolves are at home and the Warriors have their own issues, but the number feels like the market is still giving Minnesota a lot of credit. Either they trust the supporting cast more than I do or they really don’t like this Warriors team. Either way it’s a spot I’m watching closely.

I LOVE this spot for Quickley tonight. Kawhi is OUT for a while and those shots have to go somewhere, mainly to Quickley, RJ Barrett and Scottie Barnes.

Quickley took 15 shots last game including 8 threes and finished with 19 points in only 28 minutes due to blowout. He’s actually taken 15 shots in back to back games now, which is exactly the volume I want at this number.

Orlando is also without Jalen Suggs and Jonathan Isaac, while Toronto is missing Kawhi, so BOTH teams are weaker defensively tonight. Give me Quickley to stay aggressive and get us 18+.
