Here we have footage from hotfire testing our self-developed bi-liquid rocket engine. We managed to get a running rocket engine on only four attempts, a big achievement for the team! We achieved an estimated 7.5 kN of thrust, a number we might be able to ramp-up!
Performance stats🏅
Shorter burn-time due to higher consumption than expected, but on the other hand we got more thrust.
Main goal was to prove an off-rail vel of > 30 m/s to ensure that Bifrost was aerodynamically stable at launch (something the added thrust helped with)
Slow-mo if the ignintion sequence💥
Ignition source was a small solid-motor lit by an e-match. Cam was a Phantom VEO-410L at some 2000 fps (dont remember exact frame rate👀)
