@agbnufc_ Who would you have had? https://t.co/F1EoN5Gqg9 No one is leaving Al-Hilal (potentially winning league) or Al Nassr (playing with CR7) and living in the fabulous Riyadh.
@geordiedentist Actually Mr Mitch Al Shabab is owned by the Ministry of Sport, as are all of the non PIF owned teams. You can see here who owns who here - https://t.co/UwwGkYzqmD We are very excited for Miguel Almiron to be coming to Riyadh. He will join our 3 other South Americans in Riyadh.
Jordan Henderson has waived owed wages as part of his termination deal with Al-Ettifaq.
Henderson had deferred his salary for tax purposes (as @TeleFootball revealed) and has now agreed to forgo the money, thus contributing £4m to his own exit.
In addition, Al-Ettifaq save £4m in wages for the second half of the season meaning Henderson’s termination frees up £8m in budget for the Damman-based club.
Saudi sources point out Henderson has effectively covered his own transfer fee, which they argue is also £4m rather than the more widely reported figure of £12m.
Henderson has not had to return any sign-on fee or relocation costs.
However, his move to Ajax could see him directly pay Ettifaq further performance related bonuses if certain conditions are met.
@agbnufc_ I am led to believe that Callum Wilson agent met with representatives of an @SPL_EN club last week in Abu Dhabi but his demands were too high. Playing once per week in better temperatures would prolong his career by several years.
@stevewallwork It will be completely different terminating your contract at a non-PIF owned team compared to Al-Nassr, Al-Ettihad, Al-Hilal and Al-Ahli. The reality is that Al-Ettifaq could not afford Henderson and it suits both parties that he leaves. He has also performed inadequately.
Jordan Henderson has reached an agreement to terminate his Al Ettifaq contract and is close to joining Ajax, reports @David_Ornstein@TheAthleticFC
The Saudi move was a disaster. Who could ever have predicted that?

@FootyAccums Who would have guessed that Qatari based BeinSports would be undermining and destabilising the Saudi Pro League? Who else could pay EUR200m per season?

🇸🇦 2007-born Talal Haji has been called up by Saudi Arabia for the Asian Cup in the last minute.
He’s scored 10 goals in 11 games for Saudi Arabia’s U17 national team.
He is the youngest player ever to debut in the Saudi Pro League at just 16 years and 5 days.
Plays for Al-Ittihad - where he is learning his trade from the likes of Karim Benzema.
Definitely, one to watch.
Some huge figures working in Saudi Arabian youth football right now. Including the people who helped build the golden generations of Croatia and Morocco.
