@ZainabP2796 Personally i find @theRealKiyosaki books exciting and relevant. Joining basic mailing lists from investopedia and doing short online courses eg on coursera helps. Go online and learn something new about FinLit everyday. U could make money off your peers
@castobarym@promaposa@PKrakri@charityalphonce@ZainabP2796@HNtissi Well i think FinIntelligence is more the application of knowledge gained through FinLit. FinLit is more interested in you being aware of your financial position the decision is your to make it better
@NoahSesay1@IPSFAfRO Pharmacy has always had the dilemna of being both a bussiness and a profession. FinLit is the knowledge you need to make informed financial decisions whereas financial stability is probably a product of literacy and market intelligence
@Othnimbabazi@IPSFAfRO FinLit education should be part of the education system from a very early age. We use money all the time. Health profs either want to start their bussinesses or need to plan retirement or buy a house. FinLit allows for informed decision making and growth
@charityalphonce 2/2 some simple tips go a long way:
spend less than you earn
invest for the future
always aim to have more than one income stream
The earlier one starts the more one saves FinLit habits go a long way
@charityalphonce 1/2 it is critical to gain FinLit knowledge. In pharmacy for e.g., most graduate to run a retail bussiness. One needs to learn how to generate capital ethically and how to invest proceeds securely. In day2day life 1 needs to clearly account for income and expenses
@ZainabP2796@IPSFAfRO As @GSHarareHub we run a training on FinLit and we have a few pillars that we focus on how to:
save securely
invest strategically
spend wisely
generate income ethically
donate sustainably
We rarely get these taught in Pharmacy school yet we use money everyday
@ZainabP2796@IPSFAfRO Thank you for this FinLit is basically one's ability to use knowledge & skills to manage their financial resources effectively in order to achieve lifelong finacncial security
@castobarym@promaposa A few tips - learn to
1. Track ur income & expenses
2. Budget 4 your expenditure

@PKrakri@IPSFAfRO Financial literacy is a continuous learning process & the goal is getting to financial wellness.
A few tips can help from basic tracking of income & expenses to huge inveStments
