HONOURING OUR HEROES BEYOND TRIBUTES
Today, I joined other Nigerians in Awka to celebrate the life and legacy of a distinguished senior military officer and diplomat, our departed elder, Lieutenant General Chikadibia Isaac Obiakor (Rtd.).
General Obiakor served our fatherland with distinction as a senior officer of the Nigerian Army. Beyond his military service, he also served as a diplomat and Military Adviser at the United Nations Department of Peacekeeping Operations. He truly lived an exemplary life of service worthy of emulation.
In my remarks, I reiterated my position that the men and women of our Armed Forces, both serving and retired, deserve the highest honour and respect, not only in life but also in death. Political leaders should personally identify with and honour those who have dedicated their lives to defending our nation.
The recent loss of our military personnel in the aircraft crash and the subsequent helicopter incident further reminds us of the sacrifices our men and women in uniform make every day for our country.
Our retired military personnel deserve timely pensions, accessible healthcare, and decent living conditions, while our serving personnel deserve adequate equipment, proper training, and effective medical care.
Those who defend our nation deserve a nation that protects their dignity and well-being.
May God Almighty grant General Obiakor eternal rest, comfort his family, and protect all our serving personnel. -PO
We all came back from this visit and every single one of us fell ill. The air in that place is different. The environment is no place where any human being should have to live.
Yet, we saw children competing for space with houseflies and rodents. The water they drink is barely fit to look at. The rooms they sleep in are cramped and far from clean. Some sleep on bare floors, while others lie on mattresses that have become almost completely flat from years of use. No food. No electricity. Nothing.
Nigerians are suffering. And for a country with the resources Nigeria has, it is heartbreaking to see children subjected to such conditions while public resources are lost to corruption and waste. Every Nigerian child deserves food, clean water, a safe home, electricity, dignity and hope.
This is a Must watch!!! Every Single Nigerian needs to watch this and Reshare it Massively! Every one needs to see What APC Has done to Nigeria in the last 11years!
@GloWorld can you just behave yourself for God's sake and provide the internet service I paid for? What sort of rubbish rise and fall is this every day?😡
This is where the 2023 general elections were compromised. We must learn from what happened and refuse to repeat the same mistakes in 2027.
Every polling unit matters. Every result must be properly recorded, transmitted, and protected. Nigerians must remain vigilant from the polling unit to the collation centre and demand transparency at every stage.
2027 must be about the will of the people. We must not allow the people’s mandate to be undermined again. Democracy only works when the people’s choices are respected.
@fkeyamo This is rather an APC propaganda sponsored by APC. To be used the way you're using it now, and to be quoted when you target oppositions. We all know these games
OPEN LETTER TO INEC CHAIRMAN AND INEC STAFFERS; 2027 IS A BALLOT REVOLUTION
