App store reviews increase your ASO, credibility, and social proof. This is exactly how I optimized for THOUSANDS of 5-star reviews in under a month:
1. Provide some sort of value before you ask for a review. For me, that's running them thru a short demo of the main feature of my app. If you can produce customized results geared towards each user, even better.
2. Timing matters -- when users land on your review modal, they should WANT to leave a 5-star review. Place the review right after they experience/feel something -- a demo, a scary stat, customized plan, etc.
3. Have a dedicated screen for reviews. It makes the ask feel more personal than just review-bating. A clean, simple screen with something like "A quick review helps our small team continue improving the experience for future users."
