More than 3.1 million people rode the subway the night the Knicks won it all, with overnight ridership topping typical New Year's Eve levels. According to the MTA subcommittee, the crowds were so large that NYPD temporarily shut entrances at Penn Station, Port Authority and Columbus Circle.
