@taulman3D Guys...seriously? The clamp on the edge of a wooden table placed on what appears to be a piece of lawn. What??? Theres so much flex in that setup!!!! Rawl-bolt the vice on a concrete floor and repeat the experiment, then your data will be WAY more focused.
@woodoombu I totally agree!
My issue is that guys post renderings of a new โproductโ theyโve designed but all thats shown is a fictional representation of an impossible end. If however thatโs the goal, then go for gold all the way.
Although I really enjoy looking at the work of inspired vehicle designers, I can honestly say that the hubless wheel is the dumbest and most irritating feature to still be incorporated into concepts...
@sduartes2004 Hey Sergio. The Cura custom gcode thing is broken and documentation for making custon routines are rather weak... I have a gcode modifier that can insert the required tool change sequence into gcode from Cura. Its an external processor but is coming along well
@SynJa3DP The biggest issue is that not all slicers support the insertion of custom tool change gcode. The Cura system is totally broken, Slic3rPE disables it if you want to use the prime structures and Slic3r vs S3d have different syntax styles the script must adhere to.
We have an exciting piece of software in the works. A simple gcode evaluator that injects custom gcode depending on T number sequence. Anybody interested in beta testing? Lemme know!
@biscuitlad @SynJa3DP I cant say for the Palette, but in my tests with Selectra I found that doing some sort of circular motion and a short retract+advance halfway through, gets the previous colour to clear way quicker
Got sent these two photos by mr. TJ Thompson. He printed the multicolor keychain from Mosiac. No scaling was done and here we see the material waste by Selectra vs Palette. The one with the tiny bar was made by Selectra, a considerable saving was realized.
@homasholz Hey Tom that looks fantastic! Just make sure your long ptfe tube is long enough to allow full range motion when the print head is at max-max and max-min. Well done!!
