Maybe a good time to mention that I actually have a degree in East Asian Studies with a focus on History and Politics, so I’m pretty confident discussing quite a few topics in this regard.

That being said, I really don’t want to dig deeper into topics like this on LADSTWT 💀💀

People here tend to be very reactive, and discussions often get blown out of proportion or filled with half-knowledge rather than providing the context and research these topics require.

That doesn’t mean nobody can have reasonable conversations here, but I personally wouldn’t want ladstwt to be the main space for discussions about Chinese politics, censorship and media.

If people can’t even handle something like proship discourse without it becoming a mess, whatcha think a conversation about the CCP and censorship will turn into lmao.
