How I wish I was close to the Queen mother. I’d have loved to give her a huge hug 🫂 unfortunately I am a commoner. But anyone that is close to her pliz do the job for us. Tell her we are so many out here who still love her and appreciate her. The whole of tooro is not represented by those who flooded the streets.
JUST IN: The planned coronation of Prince Edward Rukidi Nyabongo I as the new King of Tooro hangs in the balance after a last-minute petition was filed in the Fort Portal High Court seeking to halt tomorrow’s installation ceremony.

Today, our most beloved beautiful Queen Mother Best Olimi Kemigisa Akiiki spends it as her last day as a Queen Mother officially and assumes title of Queen Emerita.
Let us show her lots of love and praises for a great job well done in raising the late King Oyo, keeping and protecting the Crown and Throne of Tooro.
Let's thank her for all the great work job done in lobbying for Tooro Kingdom that saw many development programs come to Tooro.
Let us thank her for her strong resilience that saw the throne of Tooro stand strong and tall the last 31 years.
Let us on this her last day as QM sing her all her praises that befit her and the roles she played.
Thank you so much Akiiki, may God bless you in your new role as you officially retire from the active duty of running and supporting Tooro as Kingdom
HAIL OH QUEEN MOTHER BEST KEMIGISA.
@KakwenzaRukira There's no contradiction, she isn't saying what perhaps you want to hear. Even me, in that kind of hostility, I wouldn't dare risk the little one. She has seen enough. There was a reason Oyo himself didn't introduce the kid yet.
I think you read half of the document, she has moved on, she has chosen peace and unity rather than disunity, she has said she will go on with her daughter to keep the legacy of the laye king!! I think you to should move on
A son is yours. A king is not. The instant you raise a sovereign, he stops being a private child and becomes the property of a realm and watched by subjects, bound by duty, no longer yours alone. The same rule applies to his heir. Hide that grandson from the kingdom and you have already abdicated the crown you pretend he should wear. He remains what you chose to keep him, only your grandson.
Queen Mother, you cannot keep him in the shadows and still demand he be treated as future king. You cannot claim both the intimacy of family and the majesty of monarchy while ignoring the customs that turn a boy into an heir of a whole throne. By failing to present him to the realm, you decided. You wanted a grandson, not a king.
Enough. We are tired of the contradiction.
@iamdrabrewz Sons went against their father to show there loyalty to their friend and king, unlike him, it shows the state of your love for a person you claimed you loved!Meaning, ues he loved the king, but He loved the position and status more, so his loyalty had to change in order to keep it
Our point isn't that he didn't love him, our point is that he was only loyal to him while alive! Actions will always speak louder than words, and as a human being, if he wants to maintain his position amd status, he should have to change his loyalty to the new omukama. Simple
Dear Hippopotamus, I know you are fetching engagements but please have respect for people.
I don't think u, a mukiga, loved Oyo than his prime minister.
Majority of u clowns have known about Tooro affairs after Oyo dying. None of u attended Oyo's events during his reign
It's not that we loved King Oyo more than they did, it's that we chose to be loyal to King Oyo more than they did, and ultimately that's the highest action to prove love, LOYALTY!! If Omusuuga loved King Oyo to that extent, what actions of his have shown this love!
What is happening on the internet reminds me of the saying, “loving God more than the Pope.”
some people here seem to think they loved King Oyo more than the Musuga and the Prime Minister, or that they love Tooro more than the Batooro themselves.
Kuhangara kunu nikukuroza bingi. 😅🙌
Thank you, Queen Mother Akiiki @QueenOlimi, for your grace, strength, and extraordinary heart.
Your son, our beloved King Oyo, was a reflection of the mother who raised him, your goodness, faith, love, and devotion to people.
To see you carry unimaginable grief and still choose love over anger and hope over despair is deeply moving.
May God hold you and Princess Ruth close and give you strength. We grieve with you, we stand with you, and we will never forget King Oyo. His legacy will live on.
Happy Birthday to Her Royal Highness Inhebantu Jovia Mutesi Nadiope Nabirye
May God bless, protect, and grant you many more beautiful years.

@KingNadiopeIV
We had our issues with Mwanda only for @mkainerugaba to say Mwenda wouldn't speak on Toro issues again and then MK himself turns around and congratulates the elected king of Toro. That was a slap in the mouth even up to now it still hurts.
