@Acer Final update: Acer’s warranty turned out much better than I first thought.
Acer eventually provided a prepaid FedEx label, determined it was unrepairable due to parts, sent me a new replacement monitor, and transferred the remaining warranty.
An interesting lesson about warranties:
My Acer XV272U monitor failed after ~13 months and Acer accepted it for warranty repair.
But I’m responsible for getting it safely to Acer’s Texas repair center. FedEx Office quoted me $250 to professionally pack and ship it. @Acer
Meanwhile, I bought Acer’s newer XV275U F3 replacement for $239.99 new.
To be fair, the $250 is FedEx’s charge, not Acer’s. But if exercising a warranty costs more than replacing the product, the warranty has very little practical value.
Check who pays outbound shipping! @Acer
@Avabelly__ So what's with the body shame. Everybody has one, and you victorians need to get used to it. Freedom means you neighbors, keep your nose out of it.
Andy Weir’s Project Hail Mary applied to Trump-regime tariffs, military escalation, and the Iran war, the scary implication is not apocalypse certainty but cascade risk.
