i've always wanted to see the universe from places i'll never get to visit. building Journey to a Black Hole day by day is my way of getting a little closer.
the milky way, from an impossible orbit. rendered in 8K. 🌌
preparing some obligatory show-off renders, but i'm starting to think i'm not emotionally prepared for what it's about to come.
you know shit's getting real when you have to split a single virtual camera's view into smaller tiles and stitch everything back together just to get one render.
soon™
just to clarify: the agreement numbers are from a separate thin-disk benchmark. the image shows polarized Kerr transfer using a KHARMA snapshot at 230 GHz.
visualizing the polarization structure of radiation transported through curved spacetime.
reproduced the published ipole-IL thin-disk benchmark with a 0.28% flux difference and a 0.002° polarization-angle difference.
We must accept physics as it is. A 10cm telescope will reveal everything a 10cm aperture can capture. The sky isn’t a TikTok, Reels or Shorts with a three-second attention span. We must accept the millions of years of genuine reality staring us right in our eyes.
Stargazing is facing reality in its purest form.
still very much a WIP. same camera, same Kerr spin, different render layers / source models: optical composite (lensed sky + analytic accretion flow), KHARMA plasma at 230 GHz, isolated analytic flow, and a ray grid as a bonus.
me desperté de la siesta con pochoclos recién hechos en la mesa de luz. ni idea de dónde salieron...o se me formateó la memoria o sama me está envenenando x mis sticks de ram
