Some Kannadigas are under the illusion that the Kottiyoor festival started last year and thrives because of them. Fact check: this ritual is centuries old and a staple of Kerala's culture. Trust me, Kannadigas boycotting Kottiyoor won't affect its functioning at all.
Holy place / dumping ground ?
Do #hindus lack civics sense?
This is the first time seeing the Bavali River so polluted after the #Kottiyoor festival. Clothes &waste everywhere -mostly left by new pilgrims from Karnataka & other state. Is this how #Hindus respect a sacred place?

A humble request to our friends visiting Akkare #Kottiyoor temple from Karnataka: This is a highly sacred temple, not a cricket / football stadium or a cinema hall.
Please refrain from whistling and show some civic sense.
Let's respect the local traditions. 🙏
@SreeDharaNEL No hate but kannadigas are one of the most uncivilized people. They throw trash and garbage, you can even see underwear and other clothes thrown in the water and around the kottiyoor temple and its premises, no respect for the place. They come they ruin.
