I'm so stupid that I don't even know how to change my username, so please, someone either teach me how or ignore my stupid username. The new me is not like that anymore. I'm no longer a Manipulated Average Gullible American, but I'm still trying to wash blue blood off my hands.
@_RebeccaMarques Whether Talarico wins or loses is effectively entirely decided by his ability to turn out black Texans at this point. He needs to do more to connect to their communities
James Talarico: “Real men don’t lie and cheat their way through life. They don’t enrich themselves by stealing from other people. They don’t sell their soul to the highest bidder. Real men serve others, weak men serve themselves”
This is embarrassing. The behavior is ridiculous. Its time to coalesce around the ticket. Voters were decisive in the primary. Of course losses sting however this is not the time for petty. Texas deserves stronger leadership and this Senate race matters.
@Rachellane9606@MckinneyTX818@JasmineForUS That fool is not a Talarico supporter, they want to make everyone think that. Likely some Paxton supporter wanting to muddy the waters on the Sem side
@trouble_man90 I just don’t understand this thinking. Beto lost by 3, Paxton is even worse than Ted Cruz and Trump is more unpopular. The race is absolutely winnable, however losing by 3 vs 10 is a big deal down ballot.
@Socdem_Michael I understand the frustration. But it's also part of his job to make sure he's earned everybody's vote. If they're feeling like he's not listening to them, he needs to go ask why, and what he can do.
@Socdem_Michael If people want to make sure he wins, reach out to James, his campaign staff, the TX Dem Party). Tell them to have him talk to Crockett supporters, and he can ask them what he can do to earn their vote.
Attacking Jasmine only causes more people to consider not voting for James.
@SostZee Considering that one of Talarico’s biggest controversies right now is that one sermon where he said that Jesus helped him reckon with his white privilege or something, I have no idea what you’re talking about.
I do not understand the appeal of Crockett at all. She just comes across as incredibly unlikeable and toxic. Why is she so popular? What incredible political ideas does she bring to the table that nobody else does?
@M4rcieBandwidth@NickyFrank30 A sense of belonging is one of the important parts of coalition building. Maybe you’ll figure this out one day. Talarico should have said something. It wouldn’t have hurt his chances of winning the primary.
@JohnJHarwood This is the standard MAGA playbook, try to dehumanize your opponent. Since Talarico is white and Christian, they’re having trouble finding anything except schoolyard taunts.
According to Grok, 60–70% of this account’s recent activity is devoted to attacking Talarico supporters and stoking racial division among Democrats.
We need to recognize and call out accounts whose primary purpose is dividing Democrats against each other. Whether they’re trolls, bots, or agitators, the result is the same: division helps our opponents, not our candidates.
.@lawrence: Dan Patrick just said, ‘Talarico is going to hell for sure.’ So, let me get this straight. In your state, it's the Lieutenant Governor who decides who goes to hell?
@jamestalarico: That's right. Dan Patrick has spent decades selling out the sick and the poor and the vulnerable, all to enrich his donors, and now he's accusing me of blasphemy. Love sometimes feels blasphemous when you worship power.
I don't think Texans want our political leaders deciding who goes to hell and who doesn't. They want us focused on bringing the parties together, and that's what we're focused on in this campaign. We're bringing Texans together across all these divides. That's the whole purpose of this movement, and I think it's why Dan Patrick is so afraid.
