Every day, countless Indie puppies and dogs sleep hungry on roads, hide in fear during storms, survive accidents, cruelty, heat, and loneliness all while waiting for someone to notice them, love them, and choose them.
They do not ask for luxury. They do not ask for perfect homes. They only ask for safety, kindness, and a family to call their own.
Indie dogs are some of the most loving, intelligent, loyal, and grateful souls you will ever meet. Once rescued, they love with their whole heart. They remember every act of kindness and repay it with endless loyalty.
While many spend thousands buying breeds, our own Indies continue to suffer silently on the streets, abandoned simply because they were born there.
Please open your heart. Visit a shelter, meet a rescued Indie puppy or dog, and give them the life they have always deserved.
Adopting one dog may not change the whole world, but for that one dog, the world changes forever.
Adopt an Indie. Save a life. Gain a best friend for life.

Outside Kandivali Station (Mumbai), you will spot this couple selling breakfast items in the morning. Ankush and Ashwini do not do this for themselves, nor do they face any financial hardship. You might find it hard to believe, but this couple, who sell breakfast from 4:00 AM to 9:30 AM, are MBA graduates and hold well-paying jobs. Every morning, they sell food prepared by their 55-year-old domestic help (cook), handing over all the earnings to her so that she can fund her ailing husband's medical treatment and ensure her children's education continues smoothly, without having to seek financial assistance from anyone else. Located near Sarovar Restaurant just outside Kandivali Station, their food cart offers breakfast staples, such as Idli, Pav, Bun Maska, and Poha, at affordable prices; moreover, at this stall, you will also receive a sense of peace and a smile of selfless service, absolutely free of charge.
Adoption is not charity. It’s giving love where it has been denied for far too long.
Indie dogs are born on the streets, not by choice, but by circumstance. From the very first day, they face hunger, abuse, accidents, extreme weather, and constant fear. Many don’t survive their puppyhood. Those who do carry silent trauma in their eyes of being ignored, chased away, beaten, or hurt simply for existing.
And yet, despite all this pain, Indie dogs love without conditions. They are loyal, deeply intuitive, protective, intelligent, and incredibly grateful. They don’t care about your status, your house, or your past they only care about your heart. Once adopted, they give you a lifetime of devotion, warmth, and companionship.
Every time you choose a breed over an Indie, another street soul is left behind to struggle for one more day, one more night. But when you choose to adopt, you don’t just change their life you save it. You give them safety, dignity, and a family they’ve never known.
Please open your homes, not your wallets. Adopt. Don’t shop.
Give an Indie dog a chance they will give you their whole life in return.

Really?? The truth is that, in large part, our poverty was a result of decades of colonial rule which systematically plundered the wealth of an entire subcontinent. Yet the most valuable possession we were robbed of was not the Kohinoor Diamond but our pride & belief in our own capabilities. Because the goal of colonisation—its most insidious impact—is to convince its victims of their inferiority. Which is why investing in BOTH toilets AND space exploration is not a contradiction. Sir, what going to the moon does for us is that it helps restore our pride & self-confidence. It creates belief in progress through science. It gives us the aspiration to lift ourselves out of poverty. The greatest poverty is the poverty of aspiration…

As a lead author & researcher on the Leicester report released by @ncri_io, I’d like to set the record straight after a @business headline has been picked up and circulated prolifically by other outlets. It’s a distortion of our report & findings.
It amazes me as to how here peers at @rutgersU maintain silence at her lies.
In a long thread she makes some ludicrous points like the one attached below. She might as well say that Herr Fuehrer didn't specifically kill Jews since he also killed gays & differently abled.
#WATCH carefully, a man in yellow T-shirt can be seen jumping into the water. He is Mohammad Manik from Jalpaiguri #Bengal .He was at the bank of Mal river during Visarjan when #flashflood came. Without caring for himself, in no time, he jumped into the water & rescued 10 people.
I find it very disturbing that a very large section of the media in England is asking questions of a girl who played by the laws of the game & none at all of another who was gaining an illegal advantage and was a habitual offender. That includes reasonable people & I think (1/n)
