I visited lovely elderly friend with advanced Alzheimer's this evening. Deeply moving and held her as she struggled to recognise me. So sad

As a fabulous pick me up, spend an evening in Sarastro's on Drury Lane. We had a great meal, live opera and a talented quartet. Brilliant!

The Garfanagna region of Tuscany is incredibly beautiful, quiet and largely unspoilt. Been some noticeable earthquakes though.
