Over the past few weeks I've been reading and listening to the most powerful stories to help me understand how we got to where we are today and where we can go from here. This is what's on my list and I wanted to share it with you.
. @GlitsInc is a grassroots organization that supports the LGBTQ+ community and over the course of the last few months they’ve been providing temporary housing for Black trans people recently released from Rikers Island jail in NYC.

Black churches are the largest body of Black-owned land in America. The @BlackChurchFSN runs a brilliant programme to give Black farmers access to church-owned land so they can establish gardens & farmers markets providing healthy and affordable food for their own communities.
Black people have been disproportionately affected by coronavirus. As a part of the #ARTISTSFORBLACKLIVES pledge I am highlighting the work of the Black Doctors COVID-19 Consortium.

For those that have been following me for a little while all know how I feel about voting and the importance of it. How I urge each and every single one of you to take a hold of your future.
June is Pride month for the LGBTQ community. We must come together to secure the safety of black LGBTQ people in jail and immigration detention. With 1 in 2 transgender prisoners sexually abused it is incredibly important to get them released as quick as possible.
There have been over 5,000 protestors arrested thus far! A lot of them wrongfully arrested for peaceful protesting. @bailproject believe that paying bail for someone in need is an act of resistance
If you care about the injustice that is happening to black people in America, join me in donating and spreading the word. Over the next week I'm pledging to donate and raise visibility of organisations like Campaign Zero who are working to end police violence.
I hear you, I see you, I stand with you, I love you and I will support you until you are heard, seen and treated the way EVERY HUMAN BEING should be treated. I stand in solidarity with you, always x
