The @CECDistrict2 would like to thank all the ASL & English Lower School @ps_347 parents & teachers & interpreters; and all the teachers & parents who stuck with us til 11:30pm last night for our meeting. Your engagement truly helps us vote/decide on what is most important in D2
We all have the right to share for 1 minute at a CEC meeting. Parents, teachers, community members, and students are welcome- so if you’ve got older kids who might be interested... get them on there!
(2/2) class, a robust school-wide ASL program, and support to make Professional Development available to all teachers to improve their ASL skills and strengthen their knowledge about Deaf culture and working with our unique population.
(1/2) In this meeting, we are asking for the DOE to recognize and support us as an ASL/English Dual Language school. Right now, students receive different amounts of ASL education year-to-year. We want help ensuring there is a Deaf/native/proficient signing teacher for each...
The District 2 Community Education Council (CEC) meeting is (tonight) Tuesday, September 8th at 6:30PM. We all should attend and share our support for PS 347 to become a true dual language program. This meeting will be interpreted.
The 2nd Grade Class at PS 347 won a ferry naming competition! So, if you ride "Signs to Liberty", know that the name was chosen through brainstorming, collaboration and teamwork! You all should be very proud!
For the 3rd time, thousands of 2nd graders across NYC were invited to propose names for unnamed #NYCFerry boats. We're excited to announce the winners & want to send a FERRY big thank you to the @NYCSchools students, teachers & administrators who participated!
