@Brick_Cop@metpoliceuk@PFEW_HQ We run simulations with my relief on EA. We’ve developed the Incident Lead role, similar to an OFC but obviously borough based. Feedbacks been brilliant and my team handle most critical incidents above and beyond what’s expected before us supervisors attend. I’m looking to expand
MNPD Officers Rex Engelbert, a 4-year veteran, and Michael Collazo, a 9-year veteran, were part of a team of first responders to the Covenant campus Mon morning. They fired on the active shooter, who was killed. This is their body camera footage. https://t.co/17qsZM6bNp
@EdwardoYazzie @Ex_arv_sgt @InspGadgetBlogs As despicable as both these people are, they aren’t bad apples. They are part of an unchanged culture in the met which hasn’t evolved over the years. Complete rebranding is needed. More will come to light soon, I’m adamant.
@GB46335141 @TomAndElvis @ACLouisaRolfe I work closely with the SLT on my BCU and I’ve seen first hand comments from surveys being discussed during leadership meetings. I do however have a decent SLT team above me who make the effort worthwhile. So in short, yes.
@HantsRajKohli Respectfully, do you think that comment was impartial? Or did it imply that the outcome was already pre-determined? Disappointed you’ve taken this approach as I feel you hit that fine margin of what’s appropriate on SM from SMT.
@darrengrimes Darren, every officer is currently abstracted to deal with the mass protests in central london. Officers who should be attending burglaries, robberies etc are deployed to tackle the disorder. We can’t predict every protestors move. If you can, become a special and help.
I can’t quite fathom what was going through both their heads joining the lying in state queue with the current climate. Poor decision, will do no good for the command.
Barry you were in the job long enough to know the Met as an organisation will protect itself before the needs of the officers. However wrong that may be, the wider implications will always be considered as a priority.
This is an exaggeration from the rumour mill. Officers won’t sacrifice OT that is almost a requirement now with the cost of living crisis, it’s as simple as that. I don’t know what you’ve been informed of but this is incorrect.
