Delighted to have spent the day immersed in facilitating peer support training with some phenomenal @NHS_Lothian colleagues. The need is clear and the skills are key. Thank you @psa_ltd awesome as ever and more to come tomorrow. This is my work happy place 😊

Delighted to be training our colleagues from the Belford ED family in CRM today and more so that a work trip up here is CAVOK. Fancy a quick trip up the Ben @marion_mcnaught ?
The “reputation of the profession/colleges” often cited as reason not to make waves. So sit back and enjoy the adoration, or rock the boat and anticipate some stormy weather to gain improvement?
Seeing quite a lot about altruism in the NHS and also that it appears not to be a good look to fight for better pay and conditions.
Altruism is a risk factor for burnout and compassion fatigue. It should not be held up as exemplary behaviour 1/
I've been thinking about organisational response to not hitting targets.
You can't "culture" your way out of a broken system; it simply doesn't work and it heaps the blame for the systemic issues on the shoulders of those working within it.
Spent 2 days with amazing group from @NHSGrampian sharing learning of peer support with @psa_ltd. Looking forward to revisiting my old stomping ground when we return to face to face training.
