To make things worse we’re also hearing that Canada Life’s reasonable expense caps are lower than Sun Life. Members are getting less $ back even when the coverage has gone up. The govt needs to get to the bottom of this and fix it!

On July 1, the @liberal_party government transferred the PSHCP provider contract fr Sun Life to #CanadaLife, resulting in changes for > 1.7 million fed public serv workers, retirees & their dependents. Since then, members have faced serious challenges.

When the @liberal_party govt announced the PSHCP transition to Canada Life, @psac_afpc provided recommendations for a smooth transition, including a full-time call centre that members could call for help. Unfortunately, they didn’t take our advice. #HurtByCanadaLife #PSAC #canlab

The transition has resulted in plan members being bounced between #canadalife & provincial coverage, often waking up early to be the first on the line w/ a customer service agent. In the meantime, they can’t get any refunds. They go w/o their meds or pay large sums out of pocket.
