Three things happened in quantum this summer that are worth connecting.
1. HRL published a milestone in Nature detailing a silicon quantum processor with digital control built in. It runs error correction autonomously.
2. $IBM acquired HRL, adding silicon-spin qubits, quantum sensing, quantum materials, and deep capability in cryogenics, control electronics, and packaging.
3. IBM tied it all to a manufacturing story, with HRL’s silicon expertise creating openings to collaborate with Anderon, its pure-play quantum wafer foundry.
@VraserX 1.2B users is huge. But Anthropic just did $16.8B in a quarter with a fraction of that. Kinda feels like they're not even trying to win the same game?
