Since the release of Parasakthi, I’ve once again been seeing posts questioning why Tamils are so adamant about language. The answer lies in Tamil Nadu’s Anti-Hindi Agitations. They didn’t just protect Tamil, they ensured India remained linguistically plural.

While its politics and screenplay are often discussed, I also always recommend this film to showcase the sheer beauty of the actors and their performances - Thilakan, Sreenivasan, Oduvil Unnikrishnan, Siddique, Jayaram, Maadhu, Kaviyoor Ponnamma, Sankaradi...

Enjoyed #Kalamkaval, a solid mystery with an incredible, menacing #Mammootty. There are few impactful moments like 'Nila Kaayum Velicham' song placements, and the last shot of Gayathri Arun as Shiny. Moments like that made me respect the movie a notch higher.

#Mammootty's #Kalamkaval's latest teaser is outstanding. I'm thoroughly loving everything related to this film. In the teaser, the dialogue "The greatest pleasure is..." followed by the stunning Nila kayum Velicham song gave me absolute goosebumps.
