With reverence and love, having returned from the funeral and burial of our beloved Elder Joseph, Abbot of our Saint Nektarios Monestary, I share this photo taken shortly after he was fully vested and laid to rest after falling asleep in the Resurrected Lord. Even in repose, his face bears a gentle smile and a quiet joy….an image of the peace that flows from a life deeply rooted in Christ and the hope of the Resurrection. May his memory be eternal, and may the Lord grant him rest among the righteous.

March 25th is no ordinary day.

For Greeks, it marks two powerful moments in history:

✝️ The Annunciation — when the Archangel Gabriel delivered God’s message to the Virgin Mary. A sacred moment of divine hope and purpose.

⚔️ The start of the Greek Revolution of 1821 — when heroes rose against tyranny and spilled blood for freedom after 400 years of Ottoman oppression.

As a proud American of Greek heritage, I celebrate both, and today, it’s even more personal:
It’s the name day of my son and father-in-law, both named Evangelos — the bearer of Good News.

Faith. Family. Freedom.

Three pillars that built Greece.
Three values that define America.

And we need leadership that defends them — that’s why I stand with Trump, who understands that freedom isn’t inherited — it’s earned, protected, and fought for.
