Hello Summer! The last day of school is an early release day!
Elementary schools will release at 12:10 p.m., junior high schools will get out at 12:50 p.m., and high schools will release at 11:30 p.m.
✨ Our first-ever AIM to Empower: Aspirations in Motion was a huge success!
More than 80 newcomer students in grades 6–12 from across Alvin ISD junior high and high schools came together for a day of inspiration, encouragement, and opportunity.
Students connected with 20+ organizations including @UHouston@TAMU , @SanJacCollege , the Navy, Army, First Community Credit Union, and many amazing Alvin ISD departments such as @AISDCTE , @AISDFineArts , @AlvinISDSTEMBus, AVID, Advanced Academics, Book Bus, and Police Department.
We are proud to remind our students that their voices matter, their stories matter, and they have bright futures ahead of them. 💫
A special thank you to our inspiring keynote speakers Dr. José Luis Zelaya @DrZelayaSpeaks and Dr. Cody Fernandez for empowering our students through their words and leadership.
And thank you to @MyCHNetwork for generously donating lunch boxes for our students and helping make this event possible! ❤️ #AIMtoEmpower #AlvinISD #NewcomerStudents #StudentSuccess #FutureLeaders

So proud of the collaboration, creativity, and commitment to multilingual learners! 👏🍎 #DualLanguage #BilingualEducation #EBExcellence

April is Occupational Therapy Month, a time to recognize the important work of occupational therapists! Occupational therapists play a vital role in supporting our students, helping them build the skills they need to succeed in the classroom and in everyday life.
Last week, the SPED department hosted a Community Fair open to any parent/student with an IEP or 504 Plan. An event for parents and community members to network with staff and local agencies to learn about services provided. Our 18+ students showcased some of their projects!
The Alvin ISD Job Fair will have district representatives from every campus and department available to talk with perspective employees - not just teachers!
We'd love to see you there! Register at https://t.co/248eJLAJWk
Don't forget - next week is our AISD Community Fair for those with an IEP or 504 Plan to network with local agencies and learn more about the steps involved for planning life after high school! Food/refreshments provided! See you from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, March 26 at JBH.
