@ErinIHolland @fesshole Catholic weddings require registrar to attend to witness vows plus signing of register. In Church of England, vicar is official registrar, since state religion. For our RC marriage, registrar was late so priest came out and told us to drive round the block, several times!

@fesshole I have a bottle of my mum’s perfume. She died of Covid in Jan 2021. I spray it on her scarf and sniff it. Her phone number is in my phone and on Skype and I will never delete it.

@ExHeadBHandPHS My elderly mum died of Covid in Jan 21. I was permitted to visit on her last day of life, for 2 hours. She died after I left. I hadn’t seen her for 6 months. We didn’t have a yXmas. Boris’ Xmas relaxation cost her life. She was infected either by carers or the vaccination team.

@ExHeadBHandPHS Two colleagues joined & left my Uni during lockdown. I met one for 5 minutes, speaking with him in the corridor & me at my desk, wearing masks. I attended my first staff coffee 2 weeks ago, and my first graduation in 2 years, for which I wore a mask throughout. 1/2

@BBCTheOneShow @BBCiPlayer I agree, my mum died of Covid in 5 days, and I was completely shocked. she’d been vaccinated too. All those people who had long Covid with connotative impairment, and all those people in their 50s and 60s who died early and lost 20 years of their lives.

@AcademicFemale @AcademicChatter Yup! In my case, elderly professor dispatched argumentative “I deserve more marks” seekers in 5 minutes after a 20 minute argument with me. Sometimes I used to earwig in to see how he handled it differently!
