PFA hosted the Medical Assistant Pathway students for stop the bleed training. They set up two scenarios, a choking & CPR scenario where students practiced their Basic Life Support skills & a trauma scenario where students practiced their stop the bleed skills. Thank you PFA!
Here the Automotive Pathway students are learning about friction by playing tug-of-war with one team wearing shoes and the other only in their socks. Look at the socks team slide across the hall! They definitely had a lower coefficient of friction than the shoe team.

Jamie Hahn was a guest speaker for our Construction Pathway students. He taught about concrete and cement, and how to mix, pour, reinforce, and finish concrete. Now students get to break & strain test their pours to see how different mixes and reinforcements change the concrete.
Our Medical Assistant Pathway students visited the CU Anschutz medical school campus. They took a tour and did a hands-on activity teaching them about the importance of sleep. They had a panel discussion with a bioethicist, a microbiologist, a nursing leader, and a med lab tech.
Last year's Aviation Pathway students Ellis and Sawyer are now PSD student employees. They are putting the skills they learned last year to work and filming Poudre High School 🏈football games for the team!
