Have you ever noticed how Christians who don’t want to support social justice dismiss parts of the Old Testament prophets and those who don’t want to uphold Christian sexual ethics dismiss Apostle Paul?
Perhaps the Bible challenges all of our ideological agendas. (&)
I wish secular people could see their most fundamental moral ideals come from the Bible (T.Holland), and without the biblical view of the universe, won't be sustained. I wish Christians could see the church has failed in profound ways to practice those ideals (C.Taylor).
It’s quite possible to say “thank you” 50x a day but not have a life marked by gratitude.
Gratitude is about discerning the gifts that are present before us. It also entails the steadfast refusal to order one’s life around:
• comparing
• complaining
• coveting

When Jesus was asked "what does it mean to love my neighbor?" He gave an example of a man risking his life to give costly, material care and help to someone of a different race and of different religious beliefs. He concluded "Go and do likewise" (Luke 10:25-37)
In 2023, my goal is to do more building than talking. I feel I've failed at this. I'll still do podcasts, but I want to spend most of my time on AI & engineering efforts, with an existing team or a new one, building systems that try to increase the amount of love in the world.
