Rahul Ji, you are fighting one of the toughest battles in modern India’s history.
The outcome may take time, victories and setbacks may come and go, but history will remember who stood on the right side when democracy, constitutional values, and the voice of the people were under attack.
Years from now, future generations will ask:
“Where were you when India was confronting authoritarianism and the erosion of its democratic institutions?”
And we will proudly answer:
We were not afraid.
We did not bow down.
We did not compromise.
We did not sell our conscience.
We did not remain silent.
We stood firm and fought shoulder to shoulder with Rahul Gandhi, carrying forward the legacy of truth, courage, and resistance.
Because history does not remember those who stayed silent—it remembers those who stood up when it mattered the most. 🇮🇳
‘SLEEPLESS NIGHTS, UNSAFE STREETS’ — NIBM ANNEXE RESIDENTS SEEK CRACKDOWN ON RACERS AND LATE-NIGHT ACTIVITY
What was once promoted as a peaceful residential neighbourhood in NIBM Annexe, Mohammadwadi, is today being described by residents as a lawless stretch where late-night eateries, food trucks, reckless racers and alleged narcotics users have taken over public spaces, leaving hundreds of families trapped in a nightly cycle of noise, fear and sleeplessness.
Residents of Archana Kohinoor Glory Society and neighbouring housing societies allege that the main road outside the residential complex has effectively transformed into a night-time activity zone where rules are openly flouted and enforcement is virtually absent.
According to residents, several hotels, roadside eateries and food trucks allegedly continue operating until 4 am and even 5 am, attracting crowds long after most residential areas in the city have fallen silent. They claim the gatherings bring with them blaring music, shouting, honking, littering and reckless behaviour that continues until dawn.
The most alarming concern, residents say, is the emergence of the road outside the society as an alleged racing corridor. High-powered motorcycles and luxury cars are said to use the stretch after midnight for high-speed runs, with engines revving and modified exhausts shattering the silence of the night.
"Every night feels like we are living next to a racetrack rather than a residential neighbourhood," said Avinash Singh. "The noise is unbearable. Children wake up frightened, elderly residents cannot sleep and working professionals begin their day exhausted. This is no longer an occasional disturbance—it has become a way of life."
Residents allege that the situation has worsened due to inadequate policing and poor civic infrastructure. Several streetlights on parts of the road are reportedly non-functional, creating dark pockets where citizens claim suspicious activities frequently take place.
"Over the past several months, residents have witnessed an alarming increase in late-night gatherings, reckless driving, suspected drug consumption, and misuse of public spaces along the newly developed road behind our society. Such activities not only disturb public peace but also create an environment that can foster eve-teasing, harassment, and other law-and-order concerns, making women, senior citizens, and families feel unsafe. We urge the authorities to act proactively before an unfortunate incident occurs," said Vinil Ranpise Chairman, Archana Kohinoor Glory (Phase 2). Many residents expressed concern over alleged narcotics consumption in the area. They claim groups of individuals gather in parked vehicles and secluded corners during late-night hours, creating an atmosphere of insecurity.
“We are increasingly seeing unknown people loitering around till early morning. There are serious concerns regarding suspected drug abuse and illegal activities. Residents do not feel safe,” alleged Saurabh Gupta.
“Food trucks and crowds remain active till dawn. Loud conversations, vehicle movements and continuous disturbance have become routine. Residents are paying the price while violators operate without fear,” said Manju Joshi.
Questions are also being raised about enforcement.
In one of the most serious allegations levelled by residents, some claimed that personnel from Kalepadal Police Station were allegedly accepting “hafta” from establishments operating beyond permissible hours. The allegation could not be independently verified, and no evidence was provided to support the claim.
“The perception among residents is that violators have become fearless because they do not expect action. Whether these allegations are true or not, authorities must investigate and clear the air,” said Sanjeev Mehta.
“Women and senior citizens are afraid to step out after dark. A residential locality cannot be allowed to become a gathering point for anti-social elements,” said Suhasini Kelkar.
Srikant Kulkarni pointed to the lack of functioning streetlights, saying, “Dark stretches have become an invitation for unlawful activities. The civic administration must immediately restore all streetlights and improve surveillance.”
Citizens have demanded immediate late-night raids, verification of operating permissions of food trucks and eateries, strict action against illegal racing, investigation into allegations of narcotics abuse and a comprehensive review of law-and-order conditions in the area.
When contacted, senior police officials said they would examine the complaints raised by residents.
“We will look into the allegations and take appropriate action wherever violations are found,” a senior police official said.
For many residents, however, assurances are no longer enough.
They argue that unless visible and sustained enforcement begins on the ground, NIBM Annexe risks acquiring a reputation not as a premium residential destination but as a zone where commercial interests, reckless behaviour and alleged criminal activity are allowed to flourish at the cost of law-abiding citizens. @PuneCityPolice@CPPuneCity #Pune #Racers #LATENIGHTACTIVITY #PunePolice
A massive sports scam appears to be unfolding in J&K.
Young athletes are asking a simple question: Why is a non-Olympic, non-Asian Games, non-Commonwealth Games sport being treated on par with, or even above priority sports that produce international champions for India?
Why are public funds, jobs, rewards and selection benefits being disproportionately extended to a discipline that receives little recognition from national and international sporting bodies, while athletes from priority sports continue to struggle for support?
If merit is the foundation of sport, then the government must immediately make public the selection criteria, funding details, coach appointments, tournament records and policy basis behind these decisions.
The youth of J&K deserve transparency, not favouritism.
The athletes of J&K deserve answers, not silence.
A fresh wave of discontent has hit Pune's digital and local circles after residents near the NIBM area in Kondhwa/Wanowrie captured images of police personnel riding two-wheelers without helmets. Local commuters and residents have frequently raised concerns over the strict e-challan penalties levied on ordinary citizens while enforcement authorities are repeatedly seen flouting the very same safety rules.
With the Pune Traffic Police actively using AI-powered CCTV cameras and on-the-spot tracking to fine civilian riders ₹1,000 for helmet violations, citizens are demanding equal accountability. While top police brass had previously issued strict directives making helmets mandatory for all personnel on duty—warning that cops would face double penalties for violations—locals state that the ground reality around NIBM Road remains unchanged. Outraged residents are now tagging the official Pune City Police handles, calling for self-discipline within the department before enforcing rules on the public.

Police Investigation Underway in PMC Urban Health Scheme Fund Distribution Dispute
A dispute over the distribution of funds under the Pune Municipal Corporation's (PMC) Urban Health Scheme between Hardikar Hospital and Magnum Healthcare Solutions has taken a legal turn. A PMC fact-finding report has revealed that Padma Shri Dr. Sharad Moreshwar Hardikar, who has accused the management of Sushrut Medical Care and Research Society of forgery and financial misconduct, had himself recommended the inclusion of Magnum Healthcare in the civic body's healthcare scheme in 2017.
Following allegations of irregularities, PMC has completed its internal inquiry and initiated the legal process for filing a First Information Report (FIR). Shivajinagar Police have begun a detailed investigation into the matter.
Dr. Hardikar has filed a complaint against Dr. Tryambak Dapekar, Managing Trustee of Sushrut Medical Care and Research Society, and Dr. Prachet Dapekar, its Chief Executive Officer. In his complaint, Dr. Hardikar alleged that the accused misused their positions of trust and altered hospital records using forged documents and fabricated signatures. He further claimed that Magnum Healthcare Solutions received nearly ₹1.22 crore under various PMC healthcare schemes during the financial year 2022-23.
Citing information obtained through the Right to Information (RTI) Act, Dr. Hardikar alleged that no independent hospital exists under the name Magnum Healthcare Solutions.
However, senior PMC officials stated that Magnum Hospital was originally established within the Hardikar Hospital premises and that Dr. Hardikar himself had submitted an official recommendation to the civic administration seeking its inclusion in the Urban Health Scheme. Based on this recommendation, the PMC committee approved Magnum Hospital's empanelment in 2017, following which its claims under the scheme were routinely sanctioned until 2022-23.
