Affordable housing is such a joke (still). It’s set at “10% below market rent” and here’s an affordable housing unit in Hawthorn.

This affordable housing unit is literally the same price a full priced market rental would have cost this time last year.

There’s no point in setting “affordable housing” rents at 10% below market rent if the market is going to just shit in its hands and clap itself to death every year. Why are we subsidising these landlords?

Affordable housing needs to be dependent on your income level, not how greedy landlords are feeling that particular year.

Oh yeah also you can still be too poor for affordable housing.

Female darts players will face DISCIPLINARY ACTION if they refuse to play against TRANS players.

The World Darts Federation has issued a statement threatening female players if they refuse to play.

“Once the first dart has been thrown in a tournament, any player that subsequently withdraws from playing a match may be considered to be bringing the game into disrepute and could face disciplinary action.”
