Mehdi Hassan Saab would have smiled 🙏
When two young voices ( bangla?) Sharaj and Rhrisav carry Ahmad Faraz's pain with this much grace — ghazal isn't dying. It's just changing hands.
Got an email from X saying that they received a blocking order from the Indian Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology citing Section 69A of the Information Technology Act, 2000, regarding my X account.
So, Exposing the fake propaganda and false narrative set by the BJP Minister and Official handles is not allowed now?
When the Indian right wing shared cropped videos with false narratives, the Indian Ministry of Electronics and Information technology didn't have a problem. But soon after the right wing propaganda was busted by sharing the actual video of vandalism by the goons, The @MIB_India ministry woke up and ordered @X to block my tweets. Is this how you are fighting fake News? By suppressing the truth from reaching more people?

LPG gas agency owner Khalid narrating his ordeal of how he was threatened, abused and forced to publicly apologize for asking customers to come in queue in Bulandshahr, UP.
Prem Birhade, a young Dalit who recently graduated from the prestigious University of Sussex, was forced to forfeit a hard-earned employment opportunity at Heathrow Airport in London.
The reason? His former college, Modern College of Arts, Science and Commerce in Pune, refused to verify his academic credentials, despite him submitting all required documentation.
Why? Because Prem is a Dalit!
The college’s principal, Dr. Nivedita Gajanan Ekbote, also serves as the Maharashtra Vice-President of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, the youth wing of the BJP. Given her political and ideological alignment with the Manuwadi BJP, one can only imagine the extent to which caste prejudice must have shaped her actions against SC, ST, OBC students in her academic career.
The same verification was provided when Prem had gone to London to study. When Prem requested the same verification again for his job, the college’s administration enquired of his caste!
Prem’s journey from Nardubar, a poor Tribal district, to UK was not easy one. Prem’s case is a glaring example of how systemic caste discrimination continues to haunt Dalit youth, even after they break through enormous social and economic barriers.
This case demands urgent attention and accountability. Prem’s story is not just his own, it is the story of countless Dalit students whose aspirations are crushed because of caste-discrimination.
Assam CM @himantabiswa now claims, No one from the Congress showed up after Bhupen Hazarika passed away. Interestingly, He himself had shared an image of Rahul Gandhi paying homage to Bhupen Hazarika on 10/11/2011 on his Facebook account. That is 5 days after Bhupin Hazarika passed away.

Silly to expct institutions created as democracy's guardrails to become its saviour. Like fawning courtiers they lie at the feet of the powers-that-be, unmindful of their compromised integrity.

A student does not have the bureaucratic and intelligence support which a Minister would have. The Mantri calls the student a leftist and says don’t talk about problems unless he also gives a solution! Arrogance of power!
Public statement by Paranjoy Guha Thakurta

Gurugram, Haryana
To whom it may or may not concern and especially to my well-wishers:
On the evening of Saturday 06 September 2025, the Rohini Courts in New Delhi, passed an ex parte interim injunction against me in a defamation suit filed by Adani Enterprises Limited, the plaintiff. The case concerns my reporting and my analytical articles and statements on the corporate conglomerate headed by Shri Gautam Adani, one of the richest men in India and the world. Ex parte means that the court order was passed without hearing my version of events and circumstances.
This is the seventh defamation case against me filed by lawyers representing Adani Group companies from 2017 onwards that are currently pending in various courts of law, five in Gujarat, one in Rajasthan and the latest in New Delhi. All these cases are being contested.
I have been a journalist for almost 50 years, and have worked for numerous organisations across print, broadcast, and digital media. I am accredited by the Government of India’s Press Information Bureau (PIB) for more than 35 years. In addition, I am an author, publisher, a maker of documentary films and music videos and an educator. I have been a freelancer for around 15 years.
Along with me, four other independent journalists Ravi Nair, Abir Dasgupta, Ayaskant Das, and Ayush Joshi are respondents in the lawsuit. We are all independent journalists, who have, from time to time, collaborated and worked with one another to write and put together articles and videos.
I have noted media reports that allege that I have published “false and unverified reports, aligned with anti-India interests, and have been continuously targeting Adani Enterprises … disrupted [its] projects with ulterior motives.” The reports further allege that my “interference has led to the straining of the balance sheets of the Adani Group and delayed key investment plans.”
I wish to state with all the conviction I can muster that these allegations are false, unfounded, and scurrilous, and have been made without granting me a right of response. I stand by my reporting which is verified, factual, fair, balanced, unbiased, and conducted without fear or favour.
I have full faith in the judiciary of India and remain confident that all the articles that I have authored or co-authored and all the statements that I have made are not just truthful and accurate but always in the public interest. I intend to vigorously contest the defamation claims made against me by Adani Enterprises Limited and will place my arguments before the court at the earliest opportunity.
Thank you for your support and your solidarity.
