Can't help but wonder if this traumatic experience for all parties could have been avoided if secondary schools encouraged safe sex and gave out condoms
@artbrutals U should be applying a hand cream regularly, preferably one that is unfragranced, and if u really want to kick it up a notch apply vaseline/aquaphor/cerave ointment at night and wear thin cotton gloves over
@cuddlereacharo1 @mxrcusheng Well ceramides/glycerin really do help with dryness and damaged skin barriers too! As for retinoids like tretinoin they’re usually prescribed as the first line treatment for acne over things like lasers, lasers are more of damage control, skincare is preventative:)
@mxrcusheng BUT ON TOP OF THAT EVERYONE SHOULD BE USING SUNSCREEN!!! I swear some of y’all skinfluencers out there touting that Kiehl’s $135 retinol yet going under the sun in mid-day… shame-able behaviour rly
@mxrcusheng If anything just get a decent drugstore moisturiser n cleanser (cerave makes great ones) and if u want actives to target sun damage/wrinkles/acne maybe use acids (AHA/BHA), retinoids (the good stuff needs prescription but I promise it’s not exp af) or try the ordinary out~
@cuddlereacharo1 @mxrcusheng Well you’re right that the skin is a protective barrier but tbh we just need products to penetrate the upper most skin layer to work. Many ingredients in OTC products like ceramides, glycerin, salicylic acid and retinoids don’t have to be deeply absorbed to work.
