There are moments that remind us why years of perseverance, sacrifice & unwavering commitment are always worthwhile. Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji's visit to the Main Control Room of HPCL Rajasthan Refinery (HRRL) on 4th July was one such unforgettable moment for the entire HRRL & HPCL family. It was a privilege for me, together with Dr. Neeraj Mittal, Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, to brief Hon'ble Prime Minister, on the refinery's integrated processes, product portfolio and the advanced digital systems that drive safe, efficient & reliable operations.

Yet, beyond the technology and infrastructure, two memorable moments stand out for me - Hon'ble Prime Minister’s interactions with a representative sample of workers and technicians who were involved in the construction phase, and his impromptu interaction with the representatives of Team HRRL. Those moments were precious and the interactions were simply inspiring.

In those few moments, countless years of hard work, determination & resilience found their true meaning. Every challenge overcome, every milestone achieved & every hour devoted to building this world-class refinery seemed to culminate in a shared sense of pride and purpose. For every engineer, operator, technician, contractor & employee who believed in this dream and worked tirelessly to make it a reality, this was not merely an inauguration—it was an affirmation of what collective resolve can achieve.

As we look ahead, Team HPCL & HRRL carries this inspiration with renewed determination to raise the bar even higher, set new benchmarks in operational excellence, and contribute with pride to India's energy security and the vision of a Viksit Bharat.

Some milestones mark the completion of a project. Others ignite the beginning of an even greater journey. For Team HPCL & HRRL, this was one such moment.

Secretary, MoPNG, chaired a video conference with State Secretaries of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs and State Level Coordinators (SLCs) of the PSU OMCs to review the current petrol and diesel supply situation across the country.

Secretary, P&NG, emphasised the need to maintain vigilance against fuel hoarding, panic buying, and diversion of industrial customers to retail outlets. States were urged to take necessary measures to ensure fuel availability, strengthen coordination among stakeholders, and maintain uninterrupted fuel supplies for citizens across all regions.

Domestic #LPG distribution remains normal, with no reports of dry-out. Around 95% of cylinder deliveries are being completed through delivery authentication code. In the last two days, about 87.28 lakh cylinders were delivered against bookings of 88.82 lakh

Commercial LPG sales of around 15,900 tonnes and 876 tonnes of auto LPG have been recorded in the last two days. About 1.2 lakh 5 kg cylinders have also been sold. Over 10,000 awareness camps have been conducted since 3rd April, during which more than 1.84 lakh 5 kg cylinders have been sold so far

Fake callers posing as LPG support executives may ask you to share your Delivery Authentication Code under the pretext of booking confirmation, KYC updates, or faster cylinder delivery. One OTP shared carelessly can lead to fake delivery confirmation and even financial fraud.

As India witnesses a sharp uptick in mobility and energy consumption, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) has ramped up its operations to deliver one of its most intensive supply cycles in recent times, ensuring that fuel and LPG continue to reach every corner of the country without disruption.

Between 1st and 8th April 2026, HPCL recorded sales of 3,02,631 KL of Petrol and 5,46,690 KL of Diesel, reflecting strong, sustained consumption across urban and rural markets alike. To keep pace with this surge, the Company orchestrated a large-scale logistics effort, dispatching 55,589 tankers and moving over 8.49 lakh KL of fuel across its nationwide network.

What makes this cycle significant is not just the scale, but the speed and synchronisation of operations—terminals, depots, tankers and retail outlets working in tandem to ensure continuous replenishment, even as demand peaks in select regions.

HPCL’s LPG ecosystem has mirrored this resilience. During the same period, the Company delivered 119 lakh LPG cylinders, supported by a robust supply infrastructure capable of handling over 15 lakh cylinder dispatches daily.

This capacity ensures that even under pressure, delivery timelines remain stable and predictable.

The rising demand for Free Trade LPG cylinders—with 2,27,075 units of 5 Kg and 17,640 units of 2 Kg supplied—also reflects a deeper shift towards inclusive energy access, particularly among migrant and low-income households.

At the same time, HPCL’s LPG business is undergoing a rapid digital transformation. With 98.5% of bookings now routed through digital platforms, the Company is nearing a fully digital consumer interface—enabling faster service, reduced friction, and enhanced transparency through OTP-based authentication.
