I learned about the Indian caste system, after I got to know what reservation is.
This is a personal story.
In 12 years of my schooling, my parents always taught me to treat everyone with equal respect, with no discrimination.
In Standard 12th, while filling the IIT-JEE form, I asked my dad about the category section. He told me to tick general. I didn't even know which category of caste I was in. That was the extent of my knowledge on the Indian caste system then.
I got a good AIR, and I secured my admission in IIT Madras in Mechanical Engineering. Upon reaching the college, we were allotted our rooms. The room was double occupancy, so I got a roommate. I won't tell his name, because people find caste in names.
The very first exam we had was in a Mathematics course. I passed with flying colors, but he failed. In the evening when I saw him, I asked him to show me his paper. Even some basic differential equation and number systems questions, he had answered wrong.
I was honestly surprised. I asked him, bro, how can you get these wrong. These type of questions, we even had in our JEE paper. He just deflected my question. But, in a few days time, I sensed something was wrong. Because he failed even the Engineering Physics exam (which also had many JEE level questions).
Out of concern, one day I asked him, why is he failing these basic exams. 60-70% were JEE level questions. He should be able to at least answer that. And then he told me his JEE marks on which he secured the admission. I was surprised, and taken aback.
You see, those days, cut off marks was not declared publicly.
And when he told me his marks, there was a significant difference. My first reaction was that it's not fair. Why is he allowed to come to IIT Madras on his low marks while I studied way harder to secure my seat. My second reaction was disappointment when he told me his dad was a IPS officer, and he too secured it basis reservation.
I will be honest. I actually did not speak to him for a few days. But after 7-8 days, I told him that it's very disrespectful to what he is doing with the opportunity he has got. He should focus on studying and not waste it. Imagine a student who got in even though he was complacent with his studies. He even had a fair starting line, resource and money to prepare for the exam (unlike poor students). Honestly, once his dad availed the benefit, he shouldn't have. But, he did. Nothing against him. He didn't do anything illegal. But it's a flaw in the system.
After some time, we became good friends. I constantly tried to help him in studies, but he couldn't grasp many things. Some other seniors also tried to help him with how and what to study, but it didn't help him either. He got a year back, then another year back and then he dropped out.
I realized how reservation has both merits and demerits.
On one hand, it allows the underprivileged students to get a fair starting line. That's affirmative action. I believe that is required. But, along with that, some preparatory courses are also required. Reservations don't apply to college internal exams. What's the point of affirmative action if a person can't cope up with the internal exams?
On the other hand, I realized how many students, even if they had a fair starting line, utilize reservation to get into prestigious colleges, with much lesser hard work. Honestly, they don't deserve that seat. That seat belongs to a meritorious student. If one person has availed reservation, and uplifted himself or herself, reservation to his/her next generation should cease to exist.
And that's why I believe in the below three:-
1. One Nation, One Cutoff
2. One Generation, One Reservation
3. Fair Exams. Fair Starting Line
If the concept of reservation is tweaked with the above ethos, it will ensure both the things - fairness to all students, and affirmative action where it is required due to limited access to resources and opportunities.

Women are loyal to their own feelings. They forget what all good things were done for them. This protest, and genZ females being the poster front of it, again proved it. Hopefully, BJP will learn that female vote bank is the most fickle vote bank.
As Union Minister of Education and Skill Development, Dharmendra Pradhan championed several programs specifically targeting young women:
1. CRIIIO 4 GOOD (2023): Launched a series of online, cricket-based life-skills learning animation modules in association with the ICC and UNICEF to equip young girls with essential life skills, encourage sports participation, and promote gender equality.
2. NEP 2020 Gender Parity Mechanisms: Spearheaded the implementation of the National Education Policy 2020, actively utilizing its frameworks to broaden higher education access for young women, particularly in rural and underserved areas.
3. Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (PM-USHA): Directed targeted funding to state public universities and colleges in focus districts that exhibit high gender disparities and low Gross Enrolment Ratios for females.
4. District Girls Hostels (2026–27): Supported the Union Budget proposal to establish a girls' hostel in every district, providing secure residential facilities to help rural female students enroll in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) programs.
5. Targeted Financial Assistance: Sustained and promoted specific scholarships managed by the UGC and AICTE, including targeted postgraduate/doctoral fellowships and special financial assistance for single girl children in technical education.
In addition, BJP launched key initiatives for females from 2014-2026. None of that mattered.
1. Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (2015): A flagship campaign aimed at preventing gender-biased selective abortions, improving the child sex ratio, and ensuring the education and participation of the girl child.
2. Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana (SSY): A specialized, tax-exempt savings scheme designed to help parents build a fund for their girl child's future education and marriage expenses, currently offering high-interest returns.
3. CBSE Udaan Scheme (2014): A welfare program introduced to increase the school enrollment of girls and address their low representation in prestigious engineering institutions.
4. Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBV) Expansion: Upgraded residential schools aimed at providing quality education to underprivileged girls up to the 8th standard in areas with low female literacy.
5. Safety and Rehabilitation: Established "One Stop Centres" to support women affected by violence, and launched the "Ujjawala" scheme for the prevention of trafficking and the rescue and rehabilitation of victims.
The above are just few of the many.

Please keep pandering to the female vote bank, if you haven't learned the lesson.
You need to change your strategy.
Unite all the Hindu men.
Make laws gender-neutral.
Set up men's rights commission.
Take cognizance of men's issues.
Save and repost.

Men pay almost twice as much tax as women in this country, but male taxpayers money is spent on women centric freebies and vote bank politics.
Shouldn't public money be used fairly for all citizens, regardless of gender? A woman from a wealthy family with a good salary can still get these benefits, while a poor man may get nothing. Is this equality?
Even after launching so many schemes for women, what do governments get in return? Many of these schemes were introduced by the BJP, yet many women are still openly abusing modi and bjp. So why are you wasting money on them?
Hundreds of Indian men and their parents standing together for one message — enough is enough.
How many more sons must suffer, lose their careers, mental peace, families, or even lives due to misuse of matrimonial laws?
We demand:
• Gender-neutral laws
• Accountability for false cases
• Equal justice for men and women
• Mental health support for victims of legal abuse
Men’s lives matter.
Parents of sons matter.
Families matter.
Stop legal genocide of innocent men.
India needs balanced justice, not selective justice.

> Many men are pissed off due to unchecked female centric laws being used to destroy mens' lives.
> Public is pissed off due to E20, rising petrol prices, poor infra.
> Youth is pissed off due to unemployment & paper leaks.
The only vote bank BJP is left with is females.
They have dug a grave for themselves.
I have been voting for BJP since 1998. But, this time, I will vote NOTA. Congress has always been a shitty party. Now, BJP too has lost the plot.
Boomers are the real problem of India.
Brothers, husbands, fathers... listen up.
Imagine this: You worked 12-14 hour days, sacrificed your youth, your health, your dreams to build a life for your family. You paid the bills, the EMIs, the kids' school fees. You stayed loyal. You loved her.
Then one day, she decides the marriage is 'over.' She walks out. Files for divorce. And the court orders YOU to pay her alimony. Month after month. Year after year.
Your hard-earned money.
Now here's the gut punch: What if that money is funding her new lifestyle? Hotels with her boyfriend. Weekend getaways. Shopping sprees. Parties. While you're left broke, depressed, fighting suicidal thoughts, struggling to even afford a decent meal or see your own kids?
Should the courts grant EVEN ONE RUPEE if she's using it to enjoy with her BF in 5-star hotels?
Even the Supreme Court is now calling this out. In a recent hearing before Justice Pardiwala’s bench, a wife demanded ₹5 crore alimony after a marriage that lasted just one year. The husband offered a reasonable ₹35-40 lakh. The court was shocked. Justice Pardiwala warned: “If such is going to be the stance of the wife, we may have to pass some orders which she may not like.” He told the husband’s lawyer, “You will be making a blunder by calling her back. You won’t be able to keep her. Her dreams are very big.”
This isn’t support. This is legalized extortion.
Alimony was created for a different era – when women had no education, no jobs, no independence. Today? Women are CEOs, earning as much or more. Dual-income homes are normal. Yet family courts still treat men like ATM machines with no expiry date.
Real stories are everywhere. Men losing everything – houses, savings, dignity. Forced to pay lifelong alimony even after she remarries or lives with someone else. Courts rarely monitor how the money is spent. No accountability. She posts luxury vacations on Instagram while you're dodging creditors.
Why should a man pay if:
- She's capable of working but chooses not to?
- She's in a new relationship, enjoying life on your dime?
- The divorce was her choice, her adultery, her abandonment?
- Kids are with you, or grown up?
This isn’t equality. In an equal world, alimony should be gender-neutral, time-bound (maybe 1-2 years max for rehabilitation), and STRICTLY for basic needs — not lifestyle maintenance. Receipts mandatory. New partner? Automatic stop. Misuse? Repayment and consequences.
Men are dying inside. Suicide rates among divorced men are sky-high. Families destroyed. Children alienated. Society pays the price with broken homes.
We need ALIMONY REFORM NOW:
- Temporary and needs-based only.
- Factor in her income, assets, new relationships.
- Equal rights for men too.
- No lifelong payments in short marriages.
- Audit the spending. End the free ride.
If you're a man facing this, know you're not alone. Share your story. Fight back legally. Join men's rights groups. Warn your brothers and sons before marriage — prenups, financial transparency, red flags.
To the lawmakers and judges: Stop punishing men for existing. Marriage shouldn’t be a financial trap. True justice is gender-neutral. Protect families, not one side.
Tag a man who needs to hear this. Share if you’ve seen the pain. Comment your thoughts — should courts fund her hotel romance with YOUR money? Even the Supreme Court said enough in the 5 crore case.
This system must change. For our sons. For justice. For humanity.

Turns out the judge was not only running the gas agency, his business contract was being renewed all through his tenure as a judge and chief justice.
And all this was happening right under the nose of the Supreme Court, that punished NCERT for a chapter on judicial corruption.
Your honours,
Why should Indian men marry, when everything is wife's choice, and nothing is her duty?

Bombay High Court - Revision Application (Pune Family Court) - June 10, 2022 - "Our society has not yet accepted that the woman of the household should contribute (financially). It is a woman's choice to work. She cannot be compelled to go to work. Just because she is a graduate, does not mean she cannot sit at home."
Delhi High Court - MAT. APP. (F.C.) 68/2018 - October 12, 2023 - "No inference can be drawn that merely because the wife is holding a degree of graduation, she must be compelled to work. It can also not be presumed that she is intentionally not working solely with an intent to claim interim maintenance from the husband."
Supreme Court of India - Appeal against Karnataka High Court Order - April 19, 2024 - "You have to equally participate in all these. Cooking, cleaning, washing, everything. Today's times are different. You are not marrying a maid. You are marrying a life partner."

Madhya Pradesh High Court - Criminal Revision No. 4335 of 2023 - March 11, 2024 - "The phrase 'living in adultery' as used in Section 125(4) of the CrPC refers to a continuous course of adulterous conduct and not just a single or isolated act of infidelity... past conduct of adultery, which has ceased, cannot be used as a permanent bar to claim maintenance."
Allahabad High Court - Rakesh Kumar And Another vs. State of U.P. and Another - February 4, 2026 - "The right to claim maintenance is strictly based on law... emotional or moral expectations cannot be enforced through courts... A daughter-in-law is not legally bound to provide maintenance to her parents-in-law."
Supreme Court of India - Shailja & Anr. vs. Khobbanna - January 18, 2017 - "Whether the wife is capable of earning or whether she is actually earning are two different requirements. Merely because the wife is capable of earning is not, in our opinion, sufficient reason to reduce the maintenance awarded by the Family Court."
Supreme Court of India - Independent Thought vs. Union of India - October 11, 2017 - "Every individual has the right to refuse sex, even in marriage... exempting husbands violates constitutional rights."
Supreme Court of India - Anamika Jain v. Dr. Atul Jain - January 28, 2026 - "When such a marriage breaks down, the obligation of the husband to ensure that the wife is able to live with dignity does not come to an end merely on the ground that she is educated or has parental support."

An advice to the husbands thinking to file divorce.
Guys, if you are in an abusive relationship with your wife and she has left the matrimonial home and ran to her parents’ house…
You want to give divorce.
And in many cases, the wife has already filed cases like criminal case of dowry harassment, domestic violence, or even a maintenance case on you.
You might now be thinking to put a case on her…
Or you are the first one thinking, “She is abusing me, let me file a case on her.”
Your first thought will be a divorce case.
Your lawyer will also encourage you to file it.
You might think that if you initiate a case, then she will get harassed by coming to your city and fight your case…
Your lawyer will also say the same thing: “Let’s put the case at your place of living to harass your wife.”
Do you know this is the worst strategy ever thought of and ever made?
You may have to shell out about ₹50,000–₹90,000 in filing a divorce case, thinking you can now make her cry because she also has to spend almost the same to fight it, or if she doesn’t appear, you will get an ex parte divorce.
Now what do you think?
Judiciary is fool?
Your wife and her advocate already have a plan ready.
They will file a simple vague application in the Supreme Court or High Court (as the case may be) to get the divorce case transferred to her hometown.
It would cost like ₹20,000–₹75,000 to get it transferred.
And these SC and HC are very much inclined. First, they will immediately put a stay on your case and then issue notice to you.
You will get tense and hire an SC/HC lawyer to fight the transfer and shell out again about ₹70,000–₹1.5 lakh.
The case may go to mediation in the HC or SC, and there also many mediators charge fees, which may be as high as ₹1 lakh (Bombay High Court as an example).
Then, if it is not settled, on the very next hearing the matter will conclude in just a few seconds, stating that the inconvenience of the wife is of paramount importance.
Transferred to the wife’s place.
Now you again have to shell out ₹50,000–₹70,000 to hire a new advocate at her place (your old advocate will never return the fee).
And now you have to travel…
And remember, a contested divorce takes at least 5–10 years…
Then again appeals, etc…
Enjoy filing divorce…
Or be intelligent and learn the law and judicial circus…
And save your hard earned earn money and your precious time.
⚠️ Husband Interest Advisory: A signature takes minutes. The consequences can last a decade
Advice for husbands fighting a maintenance case.
Before spending lakhs on litigation, spend a few hours reading the Supreme Court judgment in Rajnesh vs. Neha given on 4 November 2020.
This judgment gives husbands several important safeguards, including:
>The wife must disclose her true income, assets, investments, bank accounts, liabilities, and standard of living through a detailed affidavit right at filing of the maintenance application.
>The court is expected to consider the earning capacity of both spouses, not just the husband’s income.
>Concealment or false disclosure of material facts can affect the credibility of the maintenance claim.
>Maintenance should be based on verified financial disclosures and evidence, not merely on allegations.
>The judgment aims to ensure fairness and transparency by requiring complete financial disclosure from both parties.
Read Part B and the Affidavit of Disclosure of Assets and Liabilities carefully.
Pages 30–37 are the most important—read them at least 5 times. Read the remaining pages up to Page 66 at least 2 times.
If you understand these guidelines, you will be in a much better position to identify omissions, contradictions, or non-disclosures in the maintenance petition and raise them confidently before the court.
Knowledge of the law is your biggest weapon.
Many remedies available to tackle..!
Stay tuned for more practical guidance.
My friend got married 3 years ago.
He earns ₹60,000 a month.
He pays the home loan, groceries, medicines, bills, and every household expense.
His wife earns ₹45,000.
According to him, her entire salary goes to her parents and brother. She has never contributed financially to the home they live in.
He has no emergency fund, no savings, and says he feels like an ATM, not a husband.
Serious question.
Why is it considered a husband's duty to provide for everyone, but a wife's income is often treated as her personal choice?
If a husband sent 100% of his salary to his own parents and expected his wife to run the house alone, would society defend him too?
Equal rights should come with equal responsibilities. Agree or disagree?
In India, the legal system is heavily tilted in favor of women, operating on the assumption that the woman is always the victim and the man is always the aggressor. There is zero legal recognition of male vulnerability.
> Section 498A: The anti-dowry and cruelty law is so routinely weaponized during divorces that even the Supreme Court of India has referred to its misuse as "legal terrorism." Men and their entire families can be arrested on mere allegations.
> No Gender-Neutral Laws: In India, a man cannot legally be a victim of domestic violence or rape. The laws are strictly gendered. If a woman physically abuses a man, the legal framework to protect him is practically nonexistent.
> Alimony and Maintenance: Courts frequently order men to pay heavy alimony and maintenance to fully educated, capable, and working women, permanently chaining a man's financial future to a dead marriage.
It won't take more than a month to amend these laws to make it more robust and inclusive, but there is a serious lack of willpower, due to the fear of losing female vote bank.
