I hope things continue to look up and if you need help dealing with those unwanted memories, that's a specialty of mine.
Are you kidding? I'm sure I could listen to you yap for hours.
I would say I haven't held up well, but I think things may be turning around somewhat.
( Looking at her, then quickly looking off to nowhere in particular. )
...My emporium wouldn't be terribly exciting for you. I doubt you want to hear me drabble on about old tomes.
Oh, your life sounds relatively calm -- up until recently, of course. I'd love to see your emporium, I'm sure it's lovely.
How have you been holding up since that experience?
I... no, actually. I remember all that. It's... complicated. I have fleeting memories of others, but my own experiences are quite tame. I just sell trinkets in my emporium, really. And then another me suddenly had us all connected for a moment.
Very unpleasant.
If she doesn't, she's missing out. Not that I'm complaining about being the Jean to get to you first.
[ She has a sly smirk, seeing the effect that still holds on Wanda. ]
Are the early parts of your career similar? First of the Brotherhood, then an Avenger?
And you're certainly not my Jean. I don't think mine knows a thing about me, let alone has any desire to... do all of... whatever that was.
( Her eyes dart. She's clearly reliving that moment for a second, but shakes her head to snap herself out of it. )
[ She has a soft laugh. ]
You make a fair point.
[ As they stroll, Jean makes conversation. ]
So, you're not quite my Wanda, I imagine I've a bit of learning to do about you.
You kissed my boot. I think you've earned yourself that much, Jean.
( She's a big fan of having their fingers intertwined like this... It really is like she said, though; backwards. Kissing, then holding hands on the way to a first date. It's all very chaotic. But for once, +
Good. I like a woman with her priorities straight.
[ Jean winks, pulling away until their hand meet. She links their fingers, setting off beside her, slightly leaning into Wanda as they walk. ]
I feel as if we've done this backwards. You kiss me—all over me—and then ask me out?
( Snort. Hands on Jean's shoulders, Wanda grins. )
That is very... Well, it's exactly how I would expect this to go. Yes, I'd like that idea.
[ She savors the kiss, never wanting it to end. Her hands cup Wanda's face, thumbs caressing her cheeks. When their lips do part, Jean clears her throat. ]
I think a serious conversation about our feelings is in order. Maybe over drinks?
( It's all rather sudden, but Wanda isn't complaining. Quite the opposite, really. She practically melts into Jean's embrace, lips gently pressing up against hers.
This is lovely. Unexpected, but lovely. )
@SC4RLETCH4OS https://t.co/cJNzfmphYQ YEAH! They have limited history together, but X-Men: First Class is the greywitch bible. Their friendship is so cute.
I admit, this is particularly bold for me, but I'm not having any regrets.
[ Jean only very recently accepted her attraction to women and seeing opportunity, she's making up for lost time. Her lips eagerly meet Wanda's, letting out feelings for her Jean has denied for years. ]
( Wanda looks like a deer in headlights, shaky smile across her lips the whole time. Initially, she's very stiff, but as Jean moves up, she relaxed a bit. )
Jean Grey. I never took you for such a flirt. Not a complaint. That was... Uh...
You may.
