@JLas43_ Because Brian Cashman really, really wants him (I hear he's asking nicely and is willing to say "pretty please"), and the Yankees are willing to offer SUPERSTAR STARTER Will Warren (the online trade simulator for fans says he's worth a lot, so it must be true).
@BryanHoch But BTV says he's got a 36 surplus value! He must be tipping his pitches or the Phillies are cheating, because the trade simulator says he's worth a lot, and that's all that really matters.
@Punchoutpitch I enjoy Bobby's posts and appreciate his passion, but he's not a source. He was quoting an article at https://t.co/RegHn05RQ0. If you want to stand out from the dozens of other mediocre "news" accounts, you need to do a better job of citing the actual sources.
@vcamera15@Punchoutpitch@bmadden1954 Teams like the Rays and Guards trade superstars because they make a lot of money; Miller's an outlier with his low salary this year, he fits in any budget. I just don't buy that the Yankees are the hands down best fit, he makes sense for any contender.
@vcamera15@Punchoutpitch@bmadden1954 I don't agree with that. Any team that has a legitimate shot at winning the championship this year should be interested, even the smaller market teams. Why would it make more sense for the Yankees (who already have a closer) than other teams?
@BobbyMilone29 I think other teams easily beat those deals, especially for Miller. Padres traded one of the top prospects in baseball for him last year, have to imagine they can do better than an older backend starter and a guy whose bat and glove look suspect.
@The_Bleacherss@Spitballing2018 They're the competitive balance picks, awarded to small market and low revenue clubs. Some come after round 1 of the draft, the rest after round 2. Each of those picks can be traded once. It's been that way for a while now. https://t.co/tQoAS4TYNe
@JakeBrownLive And during a game where the offense scored a bunch of runs and the pitching gave up sixteen. Weird choice. This team would still be terrible with Nimmo on the roster.
@JakeBrownLive And replace with who? Catching sucks around the league. They trade Alvarez, then Torrens gets exposed as non-starting caliber playing more often, and then we have to watch Hayden Senger or whoever play way too much. The current catching tandem is fine.
@BobbyMilone29 If I'm the Rockies, I'd have zero interest in Schmidt and limited interest in Gil. And I'd probably ask for both of those first two guys plus another player or two. With three+ years of control, Colorado can demand a ton.
